Zeferjahn made it very clear he has no interest in being taken in the Rule 5 Draft, allowing 6 runs (5 ER) & getting 2 outs.

Brendan Celluci got the last out of the 7th & stayed in for the 8th... but not to great effect.

Ugg I hate when I put 1 c in "Cellucci".

Anyway, he allowed 2 runs in 1 inning, & Luis Guerrero had to come in & get the last out of the 8th.

Weiss pitched 1.1 scoreless with a hit, a walk & 2 strikeouts.

AJ Politi came in for the 7th & is doing his best to avoid getting Rule 5'd again.

Even Guerrero allowed a 2-run homer in the 9th. He did strike out 4 in 1.1 innings?

I guess I need to wrap the thread up for the day.

Portland lost 13-6.

They had 5 guys with 1 hit & 4 guys with 1 walk, including Lugo having 1 of each, & Yorke being the only one in the lineup without either.

Lugo homer, Blaze double, Binelas double.

Steals for McDonough (19) & Rosier (46).

Politi allowed 2 runs in the 7th & pitched a scoreless 8th.

Nick Robertson allowed a hit in a scoreless 9th & struck out 2.

They lost 6-3.

Hernandez was 2-4, Valdez was 1-2 with a walk, Fitzgerald had a homer (12) & Scott had his 1st triple.
