Portland started the bottom of the 5th with a Yorke walk & a Meidroth hbp. After Hickey & Blaze got out, & the runners advanced on a passed ball, Alex Binelas hit a 2-RBI single, Dearden hit an RBI double & Rosier hit an RBI single.

Valera pitched 2.1 scoreless, 1 hit, 1 walk & 3 strikeouts.
On the whole Salem pitchers pitched 9 scoreless innings, allowing 2 hits & 5 walks, striking out 7.
YUTEN & JOHNFRANK were each 2-4.
Yorberto was 1-3 with a double, a HBP & 3 RBI.
JOHANFRAN was 0-3 with a walk & a steal.
Alcantara was 1-3 with a HBP.
Jhostynxon was 1-4 with a double.
Miller allowed a 2-run homer in the 9th, but Portland held on for a 12-4 victory.
