Teel walked, but Castro grounded into another double play & they're down to their final out.

Including his strikeout today, Dalbec has 2 hits in his last 32 ABs with 20 strikeouts.
2-35 with 21 strikeouts

I guess they should have traded him when they had the chance.

I appreciate what you are trying to do here, but the passive aggressive shade you throw at Sox prospects is….interesting.
I don’t have a problem with it, but I do wonder whether anyone from SP is a member here. Would be interesting to have them e a part of the discussion.

They just make me grumpy sometimes. The part that you clipped from my post admitted they probably had a point & that I probably bumped him up too much.

I have also said I probably couldn't do this at all without their work & have pointed out many of their very useful resources.

I think I just expect them to know everything & the more I learn, the more I get frustrated they don't. & that's obviously not fair. But I just post my opinions on all the content I come across as I have them. I don't have a particular agenda. If anyone disagrees with any of my opinions, I would love it if people pushed back. I'm very receptive & would love if there was more discussion in these threads & they felt less like my blog.

I would love that. & if they wanted to throw any kind of shade back at me & tell me how awful my rankings are & all my errors & knowledge gaps, I would be here for it.

The truth is probably somewhere in between, but the fact that he's averaging almost 2 k's per inning over his last several outings gives me some faith in his stuff that they lack.
I guess it wasn't the same post, but it was literally the next post.

& neither of those is actual shade, just me thinking it's funny how different our opinions are & me trying to figure out the source of the disagreement to make sure my next rankings are as sharp as possible.

I absolutely do shade them over things like their projected starters, though, because it would take less than a minute to determine who the actual starter in the DSL & FCL games were as they posted those well after the games started.

Some of the most valuable resources for me in no particular order:

1) SoxProspects - Their prospect profile pages are great. I also use their 40-man roster page, international signings page & draft page. & while I disagree with a lot of their rankings, especially as we get toward 60, I think it's mostly due to philosophical differences regarding upside & I think it's great that it exists. Their roster pages for the whole system is always great. Their podcast is informative & I feel like I learn a lot about the players every time Ian Cundall Tweets a scouting report & Chris Hatfield has a lot of good information about various rules & strategy. Ed Hand also posts thought-provoking things about the system.

2) Hunter Noll - I absolutely love the positivity he brings to his Tweets & try to limit my own negativity when I find things frustrating as a result. He also is the best resource for actual video highlights throughout the Sox MiLB & it's a huge resource. His weekly rundown of the system is also a fun, positive read.

3) Guys like Chris Clegg & Brendan Campbell who are associated with SoxProspects, but also do their own things, are great, too. Clegg for his scouting reports, especially as it relates to Greenville, & Campbell does a nice job staying on top of transactions & deep diving certain stats I hadn't even thought to look into, and writes articles about things others don't.

4) Other Twitter accounts that do more with MLB but also get into the system like RedSoxStats, Alex Speier, the MassLive Chrisses, Tyler Milliken, Gabrielle Starr, etc.

5) People who do Minor & Major League stuff like Chris Henrique, Andrew Parker, Katie Morrison, & Jake O'Donnell (who does a Podcast with Hunter Noll I keep meaning to check out).

6) The affiliates Twitter accounts. I give Salem a hard time for not posting their lineup, but I love when the team is posting their lineup & highlights. I also try to include some of the local flavor posts in terms of promotions & things in the community.

7) Kelly O'Connor who takes great photographs & I know is a member here. Her photos really bring out a player's personality & I love seeing them. I'll put Josh Ball on this category, too, as I love the angle he films videos from at Portland home games & wish he posted even more of them, especially of the pitchers.

That's just off the top of my head & I'm sure there are others. But yeah, love SoxProspects & love what they do. But if I disagree with something or think they could do something better, I'll mention it. Just like I'll give them props for all the amazing things they do & how much better they make the process of following the system.

I think what you are doing here is fantastic and as someone who loves following prospects it’s great to be able to follow along. Constructively I think attempting to rank 258 prospects is…too much. Frankly I think Soxprospects over does it at 60.

Eh, it helps me know everyone I come across on a day-to-day basis & keep track of everyone. Is it necessary? Of course not...but does it hurt anything?

I'm pretty sure I could give an actual opinion on all 258 guys & I definitely couldn't have before I started that project.
