Look forward to your report, budcrew.  We hope to catch tomorrow night's game, in part to see Benintendi and Ramos before they're promoted

I thought Benintendi looked good in center and pretty good at the plate too, a good eye. Overall, there were a ton of struggles with RISP, as 4 of the 5 runs were scored on solo homers. The catcher McKeon was pretty good, as was the Acosta kid. They only used four regular pitchers before putting in the infielder to pitch in the 13th, wasn't sure why.

I don't think there is a single interesting hitter in Salem at this point.  Hopefully all those Greenville All Stars make their way to Virginia sometime this month.

Moncada continues his hot streak - that's his fifth multi-hit game in his last 10 starts.  Has raised his average from the Mendoza line to a more-respectable .242 and pulled his OPS up almost 100 points.

Dubon is interesting, but just promoted. Wendell Rijo was. Lin has an ops north of .760 since May 1st with over 200ab and is still only 21.

At least Portland is more interesting now.

Ummm... they have. Dubon, Procyshen and Miller. All in Salem. The wait for Devers will be a little longer.

In fairness, if that's what passes as interesting, then I'm with jscola.  None of those guys are Top 15 prospects in this system, and it will be pretty surprising if any of them end up as even major league back-ups.

The Drive record the last 3 years:

2012  66-73
2013  51-87
2014  60-79

There has been some talent, but it moved up quick.  This was bound to happen to Salem eventually.

Thankfully Greenville is stacked this year which could lead to a stacked Salem next year.

At least Salem still has Jordan Weems.

He asked for the All-Stars. He got the All-Stars. I never said it was interesting. (Of course, I find all the prospects interesting and potentially fantastic.)
