I've been watching this team for over 40 years and can't off the top of my head remember an opponent this punchless after the first round of the playoffs.

How did this team win like 20 of 22 games?

Oh man, that was fucking sweet from PP.

Mitchell with 33 points, Cavs down by 25. That is what this series will be if the Celtics play as they're capable.
I think you could argue the Celtics didn't play well and are up 25.. if they'd shot closer to their season averages this would be 40-50

Seeing all of the interviews before this series.. I think the Cavs were extremely intimidated coming into this one.. we'll see if they settle down in the next game.

I think it’s the Celtics being much better plus fatigue. And it’s not like the Cavs have a Spoelstra wringing every bit of efficiency out of these guys.

Yeah, JBB is definitely no Spoelstra. I think he’s the worst coach left in the playoffs by a very wide margin

1Q: Lots of scoring on both sides; Mitchell thinks they have a shot.

2Q: Neither team is scoring, only down ten; Mitchell thinks they have a shot.

3Q: Almost get it to single digits; Mitchell thinks they have a shot.

4Q: Celtics crush their souls; Mitchell knows they’re doomed.

I wouldn't argue that they didn't play up to their top level (I might quibble with "didn't play well"), but I also don't see that happening against this Cavs team, either. Not that they won't at some stretches, but it reminds me of Apolo Anton Ohno - cruise through the first however many laps in a comfortable but steady pace, and then turn it on for the clinching game. Cavs are overmatched.

I just meant the Celts missed some shots they usually make. They played in control for the entire game.

Somehow the Heat sans Jimmy were a more dangerous opponent
The East was so compressed. The Heat were only 2 games behind the Cavs. Seeding was fucked up. The Heat actually had a winning record without Bulter. I almost feel like they lose on purpose in the regular year.

If Donovan Mitchell doesn’t go nuclear, the Cavs don’t have a prayer
