5/4: Mize vs. Schmidt

Game 2 against DET is a 1 PM start at the Stadium, Skubal tomorrow so it doesn't get easier.

I wonder if the NY lineup problems have anything to do with the fact that they are essentially playing two men down currently, with Trammell and Jones never starting. It's nice to be in the lineup every day but it's also probably nice to have a game off occasionally, so who knows.

Anyway, let's score more runs today, thanks in advance.

Some combination of DJ, Dominguez, Peraza or even Berti coming back damn sure would help.

Nothing for it but to be patient until some of those guys come back and hope until then the current lineup can work through it.

Edit: I'm confident they will and I'm encouraged that the record is as good as it is even with all this slumping nonsense. It's going to be fun when the offense gets going.

We don't know what he said, but the pitch he got called out on was very close. I actually think the ejection helped NY after that, NY pitching got a bunch of very bad calls in the last couple innings to help them close it out.
