So now that it's officially announced, anyone have any opinions of the S7, especially with how it compares to the iPhone 6s?
It looks pretty incremental, and we're obviously still learning about thim, but so far it looks like this'd be the first time in a couple of generations that I wouldn't give the LG flagship a clear nod over the Samsung. I
think I'd still take the G5, but it's pretty close this time around (but neither of them has announced Project Fi support yet, so that's a theoretical conversation anyway).
The LG G5 looks like it's got a bit bigger screen, a bit better cameras, and much better expandibility than the S7 with the magic slot; that could be absolutely killer, or completely worthless depending on what accessories come out for it. And LG's always had better ergonomic design, though they've shifted the volume buttons this time so that'll have to be played with to evaluate.
The S7's got the Super AMOLED display and is waterproof, which is pretty nice. The S7 looks to have the same clunky fingerprint sensor as the S6, so the G5 might get an edge there if theirs is more like the Nexus-style one. The S7 looks to have upgraded their battery to be competitive with the LGs this generation, which is huge.
