Now that I'm not there, they may now resume scoring runs (22 straight scoreless innings).

Trevino's arm looks really bad. Not sure what's going on there but it's becoming more of an issue as teams just run on him.

Washington
Good job by Gonzalez to close that out, especially the great fielding play by him to end it. I also liked how his pitching looked. Lots of down and away in the zone and when he missed location it wasn't anything dangerous that could be driven.

I really hate watching Tampa, I checked the final score after NY’s big rally. No idea why Cash left Civale in, he was clearly on fumes, but thanks Kevin.

NY is now 15-7. Since it's hard to process just how good NY was in the first half of 2022, let's do an exercise. If this year's team did this three times in a row:

15-7
15-7
15-7

That would be 45-21. If they then won the next 13 games after that (58-21), they would tie the 79 game start of the 2022 Yankees.

I wrote on Opening Day:

“ NY has a really tough opening three weeks:

4 @HOU
3 @ARI
3 TOR
3 MIA
3 @CLE
3 @TOR
3 TB

If NY can get through those 22 games at 12-10 or 13-9, they should be in pretty good shape.”

So 15-7 definitely works.

Yeah... it was almost weird how good they were. And their run differential actually matched it from what I recall.
