The call on the field had to be that he did not touch first base. It cannot be interference because the ball did not hit him. Being in fair territory is not enough to be called out after overruning first base. You have to make an attempt toward second base, which he never did. Even a slight attempt will be enough, but he didn't. Gotta just be a put out for not touching the base, which looked close on replay.

Just terrible luck that the guy backing up the throw was right there and made the attempt to tag him.
Pretty sure the turn toward second he did after he stopped is enough to count as the attempt. At least in the ump's judgement.

There was no attempt. If that was the call it was the wrong call. But I'm nearly certain it was not.

That was an absolute joy to watch. Never a doubt about Houk's stuff, if this is who is is....we have our number 1.

That must have been a Monaco game because DOB is acting like he hasn’t seen one in years.
It's an interesting list, not all names you'd expect.
Houck 24
Wacha 22
Sale 19
Brian Johnson 17
Stephen Wright 16
Rich Hill 15
Buchholz 14 (x2)
Lester 13
Aaron Cook 12

I remember the Cook one, it only took him 81 pitches.

Absolutely dominating. If you love baseball you just love to see pitchers dominate.

Wow!

Just popping in here to say I wasn’t expecting Prime Greg Maddux out there.
