Sweeney should figure out exactly how much money they have left under the cap this year and just bonus all of that to Gus after this performance.

I feel badly for my kids right now. Their dad should not be screaming like a dying teenage girl during a regular season sporting event.

That's gonna be a fun ass flight home. 19 exhausted guys trying to sleep. And Marchand chirping the whole way.

so, 7 points out of 8 from CHI, TB, WAS, and FLA, and ending up tied in points but a game in hand behind tampa for 1st. This team is a roller coaster of entertainment.

Black Hawks, Caps, Panthers, Lightning. 7 of 8 possible points.

That is impressive. This team has a big heart.

Beautiful goal by Marchand from Bergeron! Bergy has to win the Hart this year, he is otherworldly.

They've also opened up a two point bulge on me.

Detroit lost to CBJ in regulation tonight. PIT lost in regulation to NYI. Excellent night on the out of town scoreboard as well.

I accidentally listened to F&M on the way home today for two minutes of Felger calling on them to fire Claude. What a fucking moron.
They could have the same run as the Blackhawks the next six years and those dip shits would still be killing them. Like they do with the Patriots. I was more talking about Haggerty. They fire the GM that would leak him stories and replace him with a guy that doesn't drop dimes to him and all of a sudden they're run by morons. He's so transparent it's hilarious.

Watching Marchand recognize his guy layed off him for a second while Bergy had his guy beat enough to get an angle on a pass was beautiful. Need to watch it again but it seemed from first glance on the highlight pack shave that Marchand lulled his man to sleep and then put the burners on. Pass to Bergy kinda sucked but it's Bergy.

The pass to Bergy was great. Krug laid it off the boards intentionally where only Bergeron could get to it while also beating the first man. It was a tremendous play by Krug as well imo.

Absolutely. The pass by Krug may have been better/more difficult than was Bergy's pass.

On Bergeron missing a shift or two. Early in the game on a play where Bishop stopped Marchand from in close, Bergeron stopped short in the slot and seemed to sort of limp away at the whistle; he then appeared to be standing while on the bench sort of taking stock. He played (most of) the rest of the game at a pretty high level, but it caught my attention at the time.

The Bruins has a PDO of about 104.8 during those 2 games. Nice to see the hockey gods smiling on us for a few games, but there is some work to be done. They aren't going to get .957 goal tending every night.

They definitely battled their asses off last night. Fun to see. It is nice having meaningful and stressful games this time of year, even if they aren't good for my health.

It was definitely a set play, since Marchy mentioned that they had something drawn up during his post-game interview.

Not sure if the indirect pass was by design, but wouldn't be surprised.

The little town of Bethlehem.
Krug is skating away from his pass to draw guys away. I am thinking if the pass is too direct, opposition can get a stick on it and a breakaway? The wide pass and bank off the wall was almost right in Bergy's stride. It was a no look pass, in any case. Magnificent.
