Woof. Rough end to the half there.

Nugs are 14-14 from the line. Cs are ... 6-10. There's your 8-point deficit.

I'm going to need to smoke a lot more weed for this second half.

I'm with ya. Impossible to hate 'em. And he's not picking on us either, he does this to near everyone.
He's just so damn pesky Like Frank Catalanotto, but an All-Star.

Tough whistle so far, Nuggets hitting their shots, Celtics missing some of theirs, fair amount of turnovers, Tatum a lil' quiet and still right in it. I kinda love the energy of this game--just need better execution in the second half.

Yep and Joe will get coached out of his shoes. Will be great
I know you think this is certain but imagine, for a second, that you are mistaken.

I happen to disagree with you. Denver is very good and doesn't need a coaching advantage to beat this Celtics team.

6 liveball turnovers in that first half.

And 3 technical fouls -- 1 being the defensive 3 seconds call. Despite the Oreb advantage, Celtics only ahead on second chance points 9-6.

Don't you understand? Every time the C's lose it's because JM didn't do something right or call a TO.

So if you were being sarcastic like @DeJesus Built My Hotrod bravo you got me. If you were being serious I am truly curious, but weird if you won't say why
It may be because he has one of the best winning percentages of all time? And you could compare his two first years to pretty much any coach ever? With a first year where he basically had none of his own assistants

Thought the quality of looks from deep was not good but they did a nice job in the paint. Tatum has been floating. Looks a little tired maybe, idk.

Jaylen has gotten so good at driving into the body of his defender to create daylight at the rim. Stuck in one of his FT funks though.

A little too casual with a lot of possessions in the 1st half, Denver is playing pretty high intensity and Celtics are like 90% matching but the 10% is the difference with the threes not falling.

live ball turnovers seem to be killing them but not sure how many have resulted in buckets for the nuggets. they may be 4-16 but shot quality feels pretty low.

Lucky we're not getting blown out. White/Brown in foul trouble, Holiday/Tatum not far off, 7 turnovers, 4-16 from 3, giving up good looks at the end of each quarter, techs for both Brown and KP....the only thing that's working are offensive rebounds, which really isn't our game so it won't last. Tatum has been invisible, so if he's planning on making an MVP case, he's got 24 minutes to do so.

Murray's three at the end of the first was 7 or 8 feet behind the line, no? Not exactly a good look.

I think we will be hearing from Tatum before the night is over.

Oh I love Joe, I think he's a great coach, I love how he's actually trying new stuff like usage of TOs and lineups, actually innovating where there hasn't been much in the game recently, which I think people hate because they hate change. There are just so many people that hated Joe immediately even though he was thrown into the deep end last year, and still seem to hate him now because....he tries different things you may not like today that can only help in the playoffs? They are still around but try to hide and deflect when called out what he actually does wrong

edit I love watching posters try to bait the anti Joe people, it's my fishing in C's gamethreads

The Tillman lineups scored 18 points in 34 possessions. Edit: Well, 17 possessions I should say. That makes more sense.

Looks like Joe wants them hunting 3s more, and I agree with it. Can't stop because you're 4/16. They were generating good looks early, and then got away from it: 16 total 3s is awful against a team with Jokic out there.

Rain some fire.

Presumably Malone has something to tell them. I didn't really notice anything. I don't think the pops were that badly guarded.

100% - looked like they were trying to back down too often. Get the Joker in the pick and roll and let him drop.

listen, i think Joe is a very good strategic coach. He will win alot of regular season games.

But If they got swept last year in the ECF, he was gone. And if they lose this year I think he is gone too

One thing didn't happen. And the future may yet prove our predictions to be silly.
