So stempniak is quite slow, never seen someone get broken up and lose the puck on a breakaway quite like that.

They went blow for blow with the the Caps, did not get many calls to go their way, and still ended up taking a point out of them. It was my first game in a couple months, but my god did they look different. There was energy throughout, energy in the building, it was exciting. It sucked that they lost, but I thoroughly enjoyed that game.

A few quick observations... Acciari, man, I liked him. Played a strong, man's game, and had his nose in the play every time he was on the ice. Very impressive game for him.... Not sure why Loui and Belesky are flipped. I'd like to see Loui back with Pasta and Krejci.... Rask had a really strong game prior to the OT goal. It sucks he let it in, but his overall game was very strong... Krejci was off all night. Just didn't seem to have it... Fuck Ovechkin. I know he would have been suspended for a billion games, but I would have loved to see Chara just Neely v. C. Lemieux rag doll him... The Bergeron line is magical. Felt they outplayed the Backstrom/Ovi line, which is encouraging.... However, Kuznetsov was dangerous all night. Great player. Still feel like if Caps don't make the SCF it's a bit disappointment for them, but I am very encouraged by these last few games for the Bruins.

Bruins ES CF% the past 2 games...51.6% against Chicago and 52.5% against Washington. It's been a long time since they've had positive possession like that in back to back games, let alone two in a row against two elite teams. Very encouraging sign.

Bergeron was +7 Corsi last night. He really is fucking amazing. He won't get consideration because he won't have the point totals of the other contenders, but Bergeron should be a fucking Hart candidate. Claude gives him the toughest assignments against the other teams elite, and he doesn't just tread water, he usually dominates.

He tuned up the Ovechkin line. Ovechkin -8, Backstrom -7, Oshie -8.

Over/Under on games for Ovechkin at 0.5?

Unfortunately, I'm gonna grab the under on this one....
From the AP write up of the game:

"It's just a hockey play," Ovechkin said. "You don't want to be in position to take a penalty, but the referee said I get 5 minutes because I was heavier than him."

He may be top 5 in my "I would hate to see anything bad happen to him, but wouldn't cry if he blew out his knee in a non contact injury" list (Non Habs division ).

According to Fluto, Kevan Miller did not make trip to Florida but is "day to day."

I would never had said this a few months ago, but this is good news.
