I think we can all agree that these two teams appear to be on a collision course to meet in the Eastern Conference Finals. But seriously, if the Broncos can win the SuperBowl, why can't the Bruins win the Cup? Maybe, just maybe 2016 is the year of mediocre champions. Beats resigning myself to thinking that this team will either not make the playoffs or will get bounced out in the first round...

As I type this -- a little more than 22 hours before gametime tomorrow -- the Capitals are playing an almost playoff-like intensity game against the Rangers. Hopefully, the they'll show up hung over tomorrow night.
