I have never seen an NHL team score 4 goals and deserve to lose as much as the Bruins did tonight. Just an awful performance.
With the way Ottawa is playing it's well deserved. Can't really say anything but wow. They've been playing ridiculous hockey now for nearly a quarter of the season. They deserve the last spot.
Even if they are tied on points the B's have the edge because of ROW wins. Ottawa outside of this insane streak has not been good this season. How long can this run last.BoSoxFink said:

There's too much ok but not great with this team. They're an ok defensive team but not great. They score at an ok rate but not great. Their coaching is ok but not great. They have good goaltending but not great. They're not soft but they're not tough either. They are the definition of mediocre. they have too many comfortable veterans with contracts for next year. This is a fucking mess.
they're playing better hockey than anyone when it matters most. If the Bruins were playing like that now we'd all be praising them too. Ottawa has turned it on when it really matters.kenneycb said:

For a team to have played as well as they have over the past x games and to still be behind the B's even if they win their game in hand tells you what you need to know. The team has played great "when it matters most" but they still are not in the playoffs yet. Unless you think they are as good as the Rangers, their run will end sooner than later. When it matters even more.

It doesn't matter anyways, earning my or any ones thoughts that they deserve it doesn't mean shit anyways. It's just my opinion, I think with the way they're playing and where they came from they almost do deserve it. It's an epic run that you almost never see from a team that far out of it.

In the fresh light of day I'm a bit less disgusted with Smith. Yes, the turnover was absolutely atrocious and I have no problem with his getting benched because of it, but the real problem was that he was back there pretending to be a d-man on that play because Claude's using him at the point on the power play. Smith has no business trying to dig out pucks in his own defensive corner with a forward in his face, it's simply not something he has any training to do.
