Def did.

edit: not sure what he was referring to but he definitely said 'that's a f++)(&%in foul!
I think he was referring to right before JB's 3P, White ran into someone (Beal?) leaving JB wide open. I don't see how that's a foul as White was simply dribbling the basketball but I think Vogel was more mad at the way the team was playing.

I have to admit, I haven’t watched an NBA game in probably 4-5 years. I’m stunned at how little defense I’m watching right now (particularly in the first half).

I’m sure I’m not saying anything new, I just didn’t realize how much softer the game had gotten. It seems like >half of everything is a wide open shot.
The rules are just so geared towards O now.

And what's funnier is that White was fouled and pushed into Beal since Booker thinks playing defense involves putting two hands on your player at all times.

That’s what I mean-—-neither of the two plays prior to the T were all that close to being bad calls. And there’s been plenty both ways.

Yeah it sure looks like it. I’m actually finding the game entertaining (Tatum is much more of a beast than I realized), but it was surprising to see guys standing back and repeatedly letting dudes take wide open 3’s. It reminds me of NBA All Star games from like 15 years ago.

Great quarter. Phoenix doesn’t defend enough and they take a LOT of contested midrange jumpers.

Tatum is on all-time end of quarter cooler.

I don’t understand why a team with Durant, Booker, and Beal doesn’t shoot more 3s.

Phoenix down to +7 true shot attempts. Once the Celtics cleaned up the defensive glass, they were able to create separation.

Yeah, the game has changed a lot even in the past 5 years.

Should the Warriors, Lakers, Suns actually scare anyone? I guess I can sorta see the Suns scaring a team in the West. And the Mavs have Doncic so I can sorta squint and see that. I just think the West top 4 are pretty clearly better than the rest of those teams.

I don’t think any other team in the NBA can reach the levels the Celtics can. That includes the nuggets (and I adore Jokic)
