Your son disappointed?
Wanted CB but he’s ok. WR is a need, Thomas is a good prospect, and we were just talking earlier about how the hit rate on WRs has been high the past few years.

I mean, when you grow up with your team picking guys like Leonard Fournette and Dante Fowler, you go into the draft with modest expectations.

Hey Mauf I agree I wanted Mitchell bad, but said I'd be ok with either CB or Thomas. Add in the trade and it works for me. Wonder if they take some of the excess picks to bridge the gap between 48 and 96 tomorrow.

How was the HS girl better at reading off the cards than the NFL commissioner?

It's amazing that every other NFL Draft broadcast only shows the player's best plays, but BB chooses to only show plays where the player looks like a mix of Myles Bryant and Cyrus Jones.

These parent interviews are brutal. How many ways can you say “he worked hard” and “I’m so happy?”

Anyone see the compensation for the Lions trade? Would be about the same comp for the Patriots to move up right about now.

He's a 35 (soon to be 36) year old QB with a lot of mileage and getting paid a fortune. Dude needs to chill.
Nothing in that quote indicates anything about Cousins’ attitude or disposition other than surprise. I mean, we can infer that he’s not happy but we don’t know that he’s freaking out or anything.

Basically if had a QB you went OL, if you didn't you went QB. Exceptions of course but it's either get a QB or protect him.

"McCartney said there is frustration and confusion coming from Cousins' camp because Atlanta did not use its first-round pick to make the team better in 2024."

Using a top 10 pick on Penix is legitimately banana-land crazy stuff after signing a brand new QB to a 4 year deal.

I think I'd cut Cousins some slack on being pretty confused by the pick.

I think Kirk is fine, other than to wonder why his team's management are idiots.

Lol Flacons. But why would they tell Cousins they might take him any more in advance than on the clock?

Perhaps. But he’s not wrong.

Atlanta giving Cousins all that money and then not using the #8 pick to make the team better is simply insane.

Meh. Imagine Green Bay passing on Aaron Rodgers because they already had Brett Favre in the fold.
This misses the point pretty spectacularly.

The time to be thinking about spending a top 10 pick on a QB is not in the same off-season where you signed a veteran free agent to a massive contract. (IMO, of course.)

yep this so galaxy brained stupid it’s hard to fathom

like people get paid millions and millions of dollars to do this stupid shit
Imagine being a Falcon fan this offseason, your team passes on hiring the GOAT coach, signs a vet QB anyway, and then drafts Penix at #8 rather than swapping back with those teams in the mid first desperate for a QB.
