Make me a Ranger, like Jordan Montgomery.
Make me a pitcher, with a slow cambio.

Just give me a fastball that they can’t catch up to.
Three times through the order,
These defending Astros.

Think Dusty gave Justin a bit too much leash here

Edit: Nope. Dusty has a ring. I am in Mom's basement.

Hey, why is Yammer's car outside?

Verlander having a helluva game too. Just happens to be against Monty who's been lights out.

Verlander is doing more pitch clock management than any other pitcher I have seen in the playoffs. Sometimes he is pitching as soon as the batter steps in, but then he holds until clock is about to go and makes the batter stand there if the batter gets in early. It seems to be pretty effective — keeping them a little off balance.

He is not doing it as much with a runner on, but it will be interesting to see if other pitchers emulate.

He is such a fascinating pitcher to watch these days. Its the classic veteran pitcher with stuff who knows how to control the game. Reminds me a bit of late career Clemens. Please don't hate - just my .02

I love Mauricio Dubon so much that even his presence on the Astros hasn’t quelled my ardor. What a delightful player.
