absolutely 100%Steph with another absurd performance BUT Klay/Wiggins are just killing them.
Guess those Bron rumors weren't inspiring, what are the odds the Lakers leaked those trade discussions (100%?)
Dumars would probably slap him on the wrist and say "Bad Boy".Beef Stew versus Drew? What will Adam Silver do?
Is there a precedent for suspension after an assault charge outside of an NBA game that was a players first offense? What’s he looking at here….1-2 games for violating conduct clause?Dumars would probably slap him on the wrist and say "Bad Boy".
The police getting involved in the situation and arresting Stewart pregame and citing him might change that punishment a bit more for Silver, tho.
After sitting out for the entirety of the 2022-23 season, Miles Bridges was given a 30-game suspension from the NBA. During the 2023 offseason, Bridges signed a qualifying offer to return to the HornetsIs there a precedent for suspension after an assault charge outside of an NBA game that was a players first offense? I mean I don’t see how Bridges domestic assault history leading up to this suspension is remotely close to Stewart’s incident. After sitting out for the entirety of the 2022-23 season, Miles Bridges was given a 30-game suspension from the NBA. I think that was after Bridge's first assault of his wife. Later on he was accused of throwing billiard balls at the family car with the kids in it. BUT I could be wrong, hard to keep up with the craziness.I mean I don’t see how Bridges domestic assault history leading up to this suspension is remotely close to Stewart’s incident.
How many games did Draymond get for punching Poole?I think that was after Bridge's first assault of his wife. Later on he was accused of throwing billiard balls at the family car with the kids in it. BUT I could be wrong, hard to keep up with the craziness.
I imagine fighting another athlete, depending on the severity of the injuries, will get some kind of 1-10 game suspension. The NBA will try to sweep it under the rug, & keep it quiet while they celebrate themselves during All-Star week.
Zero from the League...because that was a one-off, it was practice, a Warriors internal issue, and it would never happen again. How many games did Draymond get for punching Poole?
Certainly I can't think of other examples involving an opposing player. The Malice in the Palace was mostly Pacers-vs-Fans, though it yielded 5 arrests of players. When is the last time a player was arrested for assaulting an opposing player, pregame or not? Seems unheard of.
Different sport, different type of league, but there were charges in the Michigan-Michigan State tunnel brawl. When is the last time a player was arrested for assaulting an opposing player, pregame or not? Seems unheard of.
I expect it to get brushed under the rug since it didn’t occur in an NBA arena and will be forgotten in a week (Ex: Giddey) as everyone moves on. If, and it’s a big if, the league did get involved as I said above I’d expect it to be very minimal. Could be wrong of course but I don’t see this being on anyone’s calendar to address aside from the court. It’ll probably get dropped there too.Zero from the League...because that was a one-off, it was practice, a Warriors internal issue, and it would never happen again.
There may even have been some here saying how good the Clippers looked DURING those first 6 losses following the Harden trade. Those are the types who always want to pat themselves on the fuckin back though. Jerks. The Clippers have looked like they are the best team in the league for awhile now, but it's still just a moment in time. They weren't as bad as they looked when they were started off 0-5 with Harden, but they probably aren't as good as they looked when they had that 20-2 stretch with Kawhi (which ended with their blowout win over Boston) and everyone was crowning their ass. One of my favorite random facts from last year is that the team with the best record from December 1 through the end of the year (50 games) was...Philadelphia. Healthy Clippers have looked scary, but they're still led by the most injury prone superstar since Walton and a point guard with the richest history of playoff underachievement west of Pennsylvania.
Oh yeah. I was saying the other day he sounds fed completely defeated in an interview. The guy is mentally out of it now knowing he’s not getting paid after this season.Didn't see this clip of Klay intentionally fouling with the Warriors down 3 with 40 seconds left, to the chagrin of, well, everybody:

speaking of which Jae Crowder is a traffic cone on the perimeterWell, that should shore up their defense.
A tiny nit. Middleton is out due to his ankle, but that's no excuse for this halftime score. I fully expect the Bucks to run away with this in the final 24, but it's a poor look after a bad effort vs Miami. The Grizz are currently fielding a starting lineup vs the Bucks that, if you add up all of their PPG… all 5 of them… yes, 5 of them… for a full game… total 29. The two starters off the bench are predominantly GG Jackson and… Lamar… Stevens. Yes. That Lamar Stevens.
They are tied with the Bucks who are playing at full strength, off of a blowout loss.
The Grizz have 57 points in the first half.
Followed up by a 37 point 3rd quarter for the Mighty Grizz after a halftime reset for the Bucks to show any actual commitment to defense. The Grizz are currently fielding a starting lineup vs the Bucks that, if you add up all of their PPG… all 5 of them… yes, 5 of them… for a full game… total 29. Currently down 10... but hard to think that this talent disparity isn't going to turn around at some point.A tiny nit. Middleton is out due to his ankle, but that's no excuse for this halftime score. Yeah. Jenkins is a great coach. He gets the most out of his guys. On some level, a few coaches might love these games with guys on ten day and two-way contracts battling to be re-upped or for their next roster spot on another team. Everyone not giving an inch to anyone.Currently down 10... but hard to think that this talent disparity isn't going to turn around at some point.
Agreed.Noah Eagle is really good btw
Drew Carter's college roommate...Newhouse is a machineNoah Eagle is really good btw
Klay removed from starting lineup tonight and he responds with a flashback Nuclear Klay game!Oh yeah. I was saying the other day he sounds fed completely defeated in an interview. The guy is mentally out of it now knowing he’s not getting paid after this season.
Pretty easy when major media outlets only look at a few schools. Also, Noah Eagle, uh, had some connections.Drew Carter's college roommate...Newhouse is a machine
Going to be so much worse once we get into matchup ball in the playoffs.Having Dame and Beasley just kills any hope of getting stops. It's hard enough with one subpar defender, but both those guys are so bad
And doing a helluva credible job on Giannis, too. Did they have him on an island for the most part?Lamar Stevens was the 14th guy on the Celtics roster 2 weeks ago, now he's playing big minutes with Memphis. Life comes at you fast.
