IIRC, Soler played in right more than Rosario, but yes, he's a fantastic replacement.Damn, I forgot about him. Rosario has filled in fairly nicely.

They have now! Very happy for you. Hope they win it all.The Braves haven't won anything yet.
Also missing Mike Soroka, who was dominant two years ago as a 21 yr old rookie. The braves are missing 2 of their 3 best position players, it's kind of crazy they even made the playoffs.
They can thank being in one of the worst divisions ever, and now they're in the world series. They would have finished in 8th place with that record in the AL.
This post is almost as unfair as my desire to se MJ Melendez on the Sox.And next year ... he can be your favorite Red Sox player!
A first-round Draft pick of the Rockies in 2009, Matzek flamed out as a starter before bouts of wildness and a battle with anxiety conspired to force him out of baseball. In 2017, Matzek did not pitch at all.
Eventually, he attempted to return, signing on with the Texas AirHogs of the American Association. Living out of a borrowed RV, Matzek walked 66 batters in 88 2/3 innings in 2018, but he threw hard and showed he was capable of missing bats.
It was enough for the D-backs to sign him to a Minor League deal,
There is about a 1% chance that Freeman leaves Atlanta, but if he signed with Boston, I'd buy the first authentic jersey of my life. This post is almost as unfair as my desire to se MJ Melendez on the Sox.
SameI looked him up earlier. What an amazing story.
Another Bloom failureI looked him up earlier. What an amazing story.
Specifically in Cobb County, but it has an Atlanta mailing address. Our offices are five minutes from the stadium in Cobb and ours is Atlanta. No, the series won't be played in Atlanta, it will be played out in the suburbs.
Mookie: perennial October no-show. /s
Wow Mookie. 3 FB's right down broadway
Clutch Postseason Mookie.
Why would anyone ever trade Mookie Betts?
That contract is aging in dog years. Love the guy, but you just don't sign players to contracts of that length. Period.
If the Dodgers had Kike or Verdugo instead of Mookie they'd probably be winning this series.
4-23 series so far for the Chosen One
He only played 122 games in his age 28 season and did two separate stints on the IL with bone spurs and inflammation in his hip. Hard to imagine that not becoming a chronic issue for him as he ages. Love the guy but I'm glad the Sox aren't on the hook for the rest of that $340mm.
Couldn't agree more.
I like what our GM is doing, I don't want any mega superstars signed to albatross contracts that will sink the franchise down the road.
Good for you Mookie, you wanted to test free agency, got traded to LA, fell in love with the place and signed a mega deal to stay there.
Best of luck to you and the Dodgers going forward.
Fuck the Dodgers
Here is his full playoff game logThis is well said
This is actually much better
36-19 after August 1, which is good, but still not nearly the best in MLBThey were 56-56 on August 7.
Aren't all failures in the universe the result of Bloom and/or Cora drawing breath?Another Bloom failure
At least in this universeAren't all failures in the universe the result of Bloom and/or Cora drawing breath?
But Fox has big names!!!This is the first chance I've had to see Granderson and Rollins do analysis. The TBS show is much, much better than Fox.
Literally. Two of the guys have "Big" in their nicknames. But Fox has big names!!!
Sure on the bad division, but AA, who I’ve long thought is one of if not the best GM in baseball, deserves a lot of credit here. At the deadline, the Braves were five games out (with two teams ahead of them) and had just lost their best player. How many front offices would have packed it in and tried to cash in Charlie Morton, Chris Martin, and others? I will charitably guess 27/29. But he did not, and look at them now.The braves are missing 2 of their 3 best position players, it's kind of crazy they even made the playoffs.

I've seen a few Redditors quote Brad Pitt/Billy Beane from Moneyball with regard to Acuña vis-a-vis Jason Giambi: "We're going to re-create him in the aggregate," etc. And with Rosario and Soler and Duvall, that's basically what AA managed to do - it's kind of incredible. But he did not, and look at them now.
