Magic aren't a playoff team, but I didn't see a general offseason thread.

Also why I cringe a bit when the Patriots draft Sony Michel or Dominque Easley.Yeah thanks for the info. Too bad DA didn't consult you before signing Kemba.
..............and then there is Frank Gore. LolAlso why I cringe a bit when the Patriots draft Sony Michel or Dominque Easley.
Obviously the Pats docs know this too, they have seen the MRI's, done physical exams, etc. and have way more information than I do pontificating from afar. Plus being good for 4-5 years in the NFL might make you a great pick, no one is worried if they will need a knee replacement at 40.
But certainly risk involved with any of these players, some more than others.
That's why the data says 50-90%, not 100%..............and then there is Frank Gore. Lol
3rd time in two months. I’m guessing he’s finished for the series or will try to AD it and then be finished.Looks like Harden pulled a Hammy. Depending on how bad it is that could easily flip the series
My heart breaks for Brooklyn. Such a lovable bunch of scrappy overachievers.Looks like Harden pulled a Hammy. Depending on how bad it is that could easily flip the series
I've been impressed by Nash all year. Coaching that bunch through a revolving door of who's available can't have been easy, but they played pretty well through it all.Impressed with Nash going to Durant and Irving so early in the 2nd Quarter. Stevens would have sat them for half the Quarter.
It’s crazy how bad he is at shooting. Past the free throw line hes absolutely putridGiannis' free throw shooting is getting uglier and uglier.
This game is quickly getting away from Milwaukee. It’s crazy how bad he is at shooting. Past the free throw line hes absolutely putrid
This is a very fine post. You nailed it. And that non call was absurd.Six points down with s couple minutes left in the third. Giannis gets fouled, badly misses two FTs. Nets run down and get a wide open corner three by Kyrie. Giannis then gets stripped going to the hoop, and the Nets run out for a dunk. After Lopez picks up the fourth foul on KD, Giannis throws up a brick three. Giannis then travels, and fouls KD on a stupid reach in. What should have been a two possession game is now a 14 point lead.
KD commits his fifth foul in the final second of the third, but the cowardly officials don’t call it
And the Celtics played the full squad...Bucks having no more success slowing down the Nets than the C's did.
Unreal. Meanwhile Mike James (who?) has played 26 minutes and is 5-9 with 12 points and 7 rebounds...Mike James plays point guardBlake Griffin has as many threes tonight as the entire Bucks team. Fvck this game.
That's not the same Mike James that was on the Celtics a bunch of years ago, is it? Can't be.Unreal. Meanwhile Mike James (who?) has played 26 minutes and is 5-9 with 12 points and 7 rebounds...Mike James plays point guard
I mean it depends on what you mean by decline. If you’re talking about from when he was a superstar it’s almost all based off of age and injuries.I'm honestly curious how much of Blake's decline is skill based, how much is age/injury and how much is him basically not putting in any effort at all when he was in DET.
I'm talking about from say 2-3 years ago when he was an All-Star in DET. I think it's: 40% injury, 40% not caring, 20% not having Chris Paul to get him easy bucketsI mean it depends on what you mean by decline. If you’re talking about from when he was a superstar it’s almost all based off of age and injuries.
If you’re talking about the “decline” he suffered at the beginning of this year that he’s somehow remarkably shaken off in these playoffs...I think we all know the answer there
He had almost a surgery a year for a 4 or 5 year period. That'll do itI'm talking about from say 2-3 years ago when he was an All-Star in DET. I think it's: 40% injury, 40% not caring, 20% not having Chris Paul to get him easy buckets
He hasn't been all that great in the playoffs at all. He's having a good game tonight, anyway.I mean it depends on what you mean by decline. If you’re talking about from when he was a superstar it’s almost all based off of age and injuries.

Bucks shooting 17% from 3 and 56% from the line. Got demoralized and gave up pressing their advantage inside. Bunch of gutless chumps.Just tuned in
Nets up 19 without Beardman? How?
I never said he was great in the playoffs. He’s playing a lot of minutes in the playoffs for a very talented team.He hasn't been all that great in the playoffs at all. He's having a good game tonight, anyway.
Yeah he hasn't been great in the playoffs, but also just take a look at his split regular season, the gap between his DET and BRK performance is massive. Also just the eye test. He didn't dunk once in DET, he never crashed hard for rebounds, made no effort on D.He hasn't been all that great in the playoffs at all. He's having a good game tonight, anyway.
Some if it is loafing, some of it is the talent around him. Either way, he has a pretty big fork in his back, relatively speaking.Yeah he hasn't been great in the playoffs, but also just take a look at his split regular season, the gap between his DET and BRK performance is massive. Also just the eye test. He didn't dunk once in DET, he never crashed hard for rebounds, made no effort on D.
Blake was coming off two knee surgeries, hadn’t been cleared to run until after season began then didn’t have a training camp. He was in preseason mode his entire time in Detroit.I never said he was great in the playoffs. He’s playing a lot of minutes in the playoffs for a very talented team.
He couldn’t get on the floor for the Detroit Pistons earlier in the year. The Pistons might be the least talented team in the NBA.
Something doesn’t pass the smell test there
Nope. I assume you're thinking of the Mike James that played 55 games with BOS in 2003-04. He's retired. https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/j/jamesmi01.htmlThat's not the same Mike James that was on the Celtics a bunch of years ago, is it? Can't be.
Ironically they also have fairly similar games.Nope. I assume you're thinking of the Mike James that played 55 games with BOS in 2003-04. He's retired. https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/j/jamesmi01.html
Although this Mike James is similar to the other Mike James in that he didn't make it to the NBA until after age 26 as well.
And this is the one good thing out of how many hundred itWouldSuck sensations that such an event would inspire?I'd be happy for Steve Nash if the Nets win the title.
As long as Harden stays hurt, there is hope. And this is the one good thing out of how many hundred itWouldSuck sensations that such an event would inspire?
That's basically where I was going with this, yes. The Nets are dead last on my list of teams I want to see win the title as well, but I'd at least be pleased for Nash were that to happen. And this is the one good thing out of how many hundred itWouldSuck sensations that such an event would inspire?
Coach Bud is gone if they lose this series, right? That would three disappointing playoff performances in a row.Amazing to think back to a year ago when people were gushing about the Bucks "historically great point differential" and wondering who could beat them.
They absolutely can win this series (obviously will shoot better from outside), but if this team can't get through the Nets without Harden...man.
Good thing they have lots of future picks they can trade to improve.
I would hope so, for Giannis' sake. But I think their problems go much deeper than coaching. There may be a fundamental cap to a Giannis-led team without another dynamic scoring star, and they don't have much path to acquiring one (although stranger things have happened).Coach Bud is gone if they lose this series, right? That would three disappointing playoff performances in a row.
