I started this as a Tatis thread, but it's probably better off as an overall Padres thread.

There was too much banter, comedic moments, laughter and classic moments between him and Remy, for example the pizza slice throwing incident, NESN prefers more of a bland, stale, dry white toast approach. Was it ever figured out why Nesn got rid of Orsillo?
I saw that. Belichick wept. They should’ve fired the manager. Tatís is the best thing in baseball right now.His own manager didn't defend him after the grand slam.

Which is horse shit
This guy Doesn't Play the Game the Right Way! Why would you want that guy on your team instead of a gutty, grimy, gritty, grunty little scrapper who wouldn't have come anywhere near that ball but who Respects the Unwritten Rules of the Game?I started this as a Tatis thread, but it's probably better off as an overall Padres thread.

I get big Ken Griffey, Jr. vibes from Tatís - right down to the genealogy and naming.Tatis is everything that is right. If you don’t want to be embarrassed playing baseball, don’t let yourself get embarrassed playing baseball.
Big time. Dude is just too talented and too cool for everyone older than him to even understand right now.I get big Ken Griffey, Jr. vibes from Tatís - right down to the genealogy and naming.
I changed the title, so amazing that they did that after the Tatis silliness.America’s Team. Slam Diego Padres.
They hit Grand Slams in four straight games starting with that Tatis Slam (an MLB record). They took a day off and then hit another one!I changed the title, so amazing that they did that after the Tatis silliness.
Their bullpen is not elite nor healthy. Closer Kirby Yates just had elbow surgery and is done for the year. Drew Pomeranz was pitching well for them in a relief role but now he is on the IL with a shoulder strain.Richards and Davies are solid. Lamet is going to be an ace. Paddack is very good. And their bullpen can be elite if healthy. Then they just need Quantrill or Morejón or someone else to step up.
We won’t know for a while what TB got in Xavier Edwards but nice to see them give up someone as seemingly valuable as Cronenworth.Jake Cronenworth is real fun to watch too. A 26 year old ROY candidate who came with over with Pham in the TB deal. He's been the best rookie hitter in the NL so far. OPS over 1.000.
He seems to square everything up and looks solid up the middle (mostly at 2B) but really can play anywhere in the IF. He also closed at Michgan so he could help on the mound but I guess it would need to be a blowout.
To 29 Palms?I've been a huge Padre's fan ever since I moved out to California 15 years ago. I am through the roof right now. For the first time in a long time don't like missing games. I haven't felt this way about a team since the 2007 Red Sox.
They must be excited about being the only game in town next year with a championship caliber club. He really has been a good owner.Random note, for whatever it’s worth... I had a chance to talk to Ron Fowler yesterday and he told me the Padres expect to lose over $100 million this year.
