I don't think that should be the assumption.Sooooo, I’m going to assume he’s not playing this weekend? Cool. Feel bad for B Flo.
If he could be had for a 2nd I would do that in a heartbeat. He's already a good slot corner. He should be able to play FS. So, hat tip as always to @Super Nomario , he could be a swiss army knife in the secondary with a tremendous ceiling. I don't think we end up getting him and it would be hard to drop someone on this stacked roster but Minkah is the kind of potentially special player I would hope they consider.
Yup. Cowboys go there in 2 weeks. Very early but they may be there cream of the crop in the NFC.Brutal. That could change the landscape of the entire NFC.
Ouch. Surprised that kind of thing doesn't happen more often. At least they have a competent backup QB.Torn ligaments in Brees' thumb that requires surgery. Out at least 6 weeks.

IR is not retroactive to the date of injury or resulting absence from activities. The clock for taking a player off IR and returning him to practice and then the active roster starts ticking down the day on which the player is placed on IR.Does IR work like the Injured list in baseball as far as it being retroactive? I ask because 6 weeks is short of the timeframe he could return from IR. What if, after 4 weeks, they realize he's still 4 or 5 weeks away, could they put him on IR at that time and have him available 4 weeks later, or is it 8 weeks from placement on IR?
The last 5 seasons, their defense has ranked (by points allowed) 14th, 10th, 31st, 32nd, and 28th. If anything he's had some good fortune to do well despite a heavily unbalanced team.Saints have had some rough luck in the twilight of Brees' career.
That feels like a stretch... Both the Steelers and Saints have invested fairly heavily in the backup QB position (3rd rounder for Pitt, $7mn guaranteed for NO). Would Hoyer really start over Rudolph or Bridgewater given the incumbent backups have been in their respective systems for over a year now?Lot of leverage for teams with competent back-up quarterbacks. Wish we kept Hoyer another 2 weeks.
That's three of the top 10 QB's in the league gone for huge chunks of the season (Luck, Big Ben, Drew). In a league where QB is king, that sucks.Torn ligaments in Brees' thumb that requires surgery. Out at least 6 weeks.

Steelers threadDon't see a link in here yet, so just gonna throw it in. Big Ben done for the season:

So...how much cap space do the Pats have left?
Or Philly based on what I saw from them last nightThis has KC written all over it.
Schefter says they likely are.The Jags aren’t at a point of objectively no return with Ramsey,
JC Jackson and a 1st. Get it done, Theo.Ramsey only makes $3.6 million this year. Pats love bargains. Just saying.
You no like JC? He seems to be playing fairly well, and I get the impression that BB really likes him.JC Jackson and a 1st. Get it done, Theo.

Well, I mean, I like Eduardo Rodriguez, but if we could trade him for Max Scherzer or something I'd do it.You no like JC? He seems to be playing fairly well, and I get the impression that BB really likes him.
Watch Buffalo and IndyOr Philly based on what I saw from them last night
So, you’re saying there’s a chance? My Jackson + 2020 #1 offer is still on...
That is an outrageous price for Ramsey. Tunsil is not a comparison because another good player was going Houston's way. Fitzpatrick cost a 1st because he has so many years left of cheap control. Ramsey is due a big contract after next year and even his 5th year option is a lot.Breer is reporting a starting point for Ramsey is two first rounders.

Good idea. Wait for him to sprain a knee first and then trade him.
