After his 0/7 game from the line, Drummond has bounced back and gone 16/25. .639 for the year. His career high in assists/game before this year was 4, which he has done 3 times in his career, all last year. So far this year, he's had 4 or more assists in 11 of the 16 games he has played including the last 7 and 9/10. He had never shown any real play making ability at all until this year and somehow the dude just turned 24 3 months ago. I think the Pistons are for real and may challenge for a top 4 record in the east. Hard to predict though, the east is really deep atm and 12 teams have a legit shot at the playoffs.
Kris Dunn continues to play "well" too, he's now shooting .436/.360/.667 after early struggles. With his defensive upside, he actually looks deserving of a lottery pick. The Bulls have a nice trio with him, Portis and Lauri.
Also hard to take anything away from the Lakers last 2 games since the Suns don't play defense and the Nuggets lost both Jokic and Millsap. That's 2 straight games with 0 interior defense. I will say if the Lakers can acquire a big name or 2 in the off season while really only losing Pope and Lopez, they'll be really good. Of course to acquire that 2nd name, they'll probably have to gut the team of some resources.
