right here
Rob O. tees off hole 10 at 8:50 a.m. In Cromwell on Thursday. I'm too busy to get to the Travelers this year, but hoping some some Soshers do. It would be fun to follow him around for a full round. Hope he tears it up this weekend.
T9 with 15 other people at -3 after 1 (leader -6).

Worlds End
lipped out on 15 and made par on the par 5 13th, so he actually could have been lower. missed one fairway, hit all 18 greens. Just a perfect round of golf.

Not only the first guy to shoot a 58 on the PGA Tour, but also the only guy to have two sub 60 rounds on the PGA Tour

Great for Furyk, I have always been a fan. Wish he could have gotten 57. Definitely not the player you would have expected to annihilate a course like that

I think you're absolutely right. If Furyk would switch out on a day like today, then it has to be standard operating procedure. I just never knew that.
You can't switch out your ball on the hole you're playing. If you do, it's a penalty. So, for example, if your drive hits a cart path and gets scuffed up, play on with that ball until it's holed.

After the hole, you can switch.

Yes, it sucks, but he's going to miss his chance to complete in the Olympics? Settle down, Emiliano. I have a feeling someone (like Callaway) is going to find you some sticks.

Yeah I agree. But They were talking about it on Golf Channel and asked Faldo about him using new clubs and his response (paraphrasing) was "I probably wouldn't advise it if he wants to compete. It's not like there's tour trucks here to tune him up or like picking up a new wedge in the pro shop. There's not even a pro shop here anyway. He's not going to play off the rack and it's like there sporting goods stores here either".

One would think that his club maker would have his specs on file and get him some asap, but they sounded like he may indeed be screwed unless they find his bag. At least as far as competing to win.

Ha, I'm not giving you a hard time; I just think Grillo's a bit of a drama queen. Stop tweeting at AA, and call your billion dollar club manufacturer who features you on its website.
Oh I know and I agree mostly, but I'm sure he was freaking out all day about it. Combine that with the normal pissed off level of an airline losing your bag and I'll grant him a few tweets while his agent handled calling Callaway. Faldo's comments I'm sure are a bit grandstanding.

That being said, even In that article, you have comments from many players saying how much it fucks them up and that it's not that quick to get new ones.

I hadn't seen that story in Snedeker before, that's pretty cool. Despite his lack of success on tour he seems like a freak. I remember a few years ago watching the GC coverage of a practice round at Sawgrass and he and Bubba played each other's clubs on the island hole. Brandt stuck it within twenty feet swinging lefty, bubba put it in the water. Which made me laugh because I hate bubba.

Snedeker hasn't been successful on tour? 8 wins and a FedEx Cup--that guy?

What does relatively mean? Not many guys win 8 times on tour - he's very successful.

You realize that 10 wins and a major is pretty much a hall of fame career right? He's basically on Mark O'Meara's career trajectory.

Well, pretty much except for the fact you need 15 wins or 2 majors (or Players), and he has 8 and none.

He's about half a hall of fame player.

I just looked it up, you're right.

I think the 2 majors gets you in - there are players in the HOF with 8 wins and 2 majors. 10 wins and 1 major is borderlilne.
Ten wins and one major is not borderline, it's ineligible. They changed the rules just a couple of years ago because of the Couples (and Monty) debacles.

Which is to say David Duval will probably (he is eligible because he won the Players) not be getting into the hall of fame. And if Duval ain't in, Snedeker is not close.

I never said Snedeker was close, did I? I was merely saying that he's had a very successful career.

I compared him to O'Meara which is a good comp. If he has the same second half of his career like Mark did, he could be a hall of famer.

Of course that's not saying much because anyone that wins two majors could be a hall of famer.

Well, you said "you realize 10 wins and a major is pretty much a hall of fame career, right?" So yeah, I can see someone reading that as you saying he was close.

I used sloppy language. Apologies. He has certainly had a successful career compared to 95% of players. I had forgotten he won the FedEx and was mostly thinking about no majors and not many impressive wins. Disappointing? I'm not sure what word to use. He seemed to be coming on strong a few years ago and seemed a guy in the mix with the big boys. His health issues have contributed but I don't think it's unfair to say he's fallen back.

Again, mea culpa. I retract any use of the word unsuccessful. Cool?
