My new idea is using BJ Daniels at RB maybe a dozen plays per game. He can do everything else; I'm sure he can handle some snaps at RB. Maybe they can work in a halfback pass play too.
To be fair, look at his year, his numbers were totally pedestrian until 4 weeks ago. If he plays the next few weeks like the last few and win out, i'm sure he will get some votes, which he should. Until the 49ers game, he had a 10/7 TD/INT ratio over 10 weeks of the season.Wilson should get some MVP consideration. His numbers just jump off the page: Superior to Brady and Cam, other than in total TDs and QB winz. He kept them afloat earlier in the season when the o-line was the worst in the league, and now he's just dominating. But I'm sure their record will keep him out of it.
I'm more concerned about Russell tearing an ACL on the field, but I also don't want to see the Hawks take them too lightly either. In what world is any Seahawks concerned that the Snyders are getting their act together? You will annihilate the football team from Washington, D.C. There are few NFL teams I think could beat Seattle the way they're currently playing, certainly none of those reside in the NFC Least.
Updating this for the last two games:T
The pass rush needs more consistency, which I think means a lot more Frank Clark going forward. They had a pure evil pass rush alignment yesterday of Clark and Bennett inside at DT and Avril and Irvin rushing from the outside and it looked devastating. Results show the same.
17 Plays together
1 rush for 6 yards
1 penalty on MN
7 pressures, 1 sack
Bridgewater was 6-14 for 33 yards and 1 INT.
I'm not holding my breath. There was a play in the first half (I believe it was his first run of the game) where Michael ran left and ended up running out of bounds with the defender trying to rip the ball out of his right hand because he wouldnt switch the ball to his left hand even though he had time to.Michael looked really good yesterday, running hard. Maybe he's finally "got it".
The four scenarios possible areThe only way the Hawks go to Washington at this point is Hawks win @Arizona and Pack beats Vikes. I would rather go anywhere besides Washington just to avoid the shitty field there. The last thing the team needs is a Russell Wilson knee injury on a scramble because Snyder is too fucking cheap/incompetent to put down a decent field. Asshole.
Yesterday's game was an aggravating mess. Penalties, bad snaps, turnovers, horrible fumble luck on the Rams' last TD drive. It was all there. And they still only lost by 6. Most teams get blown out by 20+ in those situations. Seahawks still haven't lost by more than 10 in over 4 years.
I'd just like to see a winning effort in Arizona to give the team a dose of confidence that if they win their WC game, that they can go in and beat Arizona again. Give the Cardinals some doubts. They can pretty much beat anyone right now if they don't beat themselves.
I'd almost like the last option because (1) GB is playing the worst of the 3 teams right now and (2) Revenge for week 2. It's the hardest of the 3 stadiums to play in, so it's a real fence sitter for me. I think they can beat all 3 teams anyway, but we'll see.The four scenarios possible are
MIN wins, SEA wins = SEA v. MIN
MIN wins, SEA loses = SEA v. MIN
GB wins, SEA wins = SEA v. WAS
GB wins, SEA loses = SEA v. GB
They are certainly playing well....and I would probably bet on them over any other NFC team right now..... But winning on the road 3 times in a row is difficult. ~Captain Obvious. After pasting the Cardinals 36-6 today, the playoff road goes through Minnesota, Carolina and whoever survives out of the other 3 teams.
I have no problem with that path. They've already won at Minnesota, they've won at Carolina the previous two seasons and I feel pretty good they can win at any of the other three teams.
Let's get the playoffs started!
What was the poor strategy on the other side in the Super Bowl?Seattle has been insanely lucky their last three playoff games and benefited from poor strategy on the other side.
McDaniels called the interception play not once but twice. Just wasn't the right spot for it in either case. What was the poor strategy on the other side in the Super Bowl?
My sentence does not imply that there was both luck and poor strategy in each game. What was the poor strategy on the other side in the Super Bowl?
Imagine how good the offense would be with the new focus on passing and Graham roaming the middle of the field. It's going to be interesting to see how Seattle generates offense with Norman shadowing Baldwin. Lockett will need to have a big game...and he might. To Danoo and wibi, how much, if at all, does Graham injury factor in to the resurgence of the Seattle offense (last 2 games not withstanding)?
This is a hard question for me to give you a solid answer on. Personally (without watching any film other than the live game feeds) is that Seattle's offense would have shown this resurgence even with Graham being around since I believe this resurgence has been thanks to two major factors.
