When has this team ever been built for shootouts?Nothing about this team's trajectory over the past 3 years has been as depressing as this shootout lineup
Even more so with no Marchand or Bergeron tonightNothing about this team's trajectory over the past 3 years has been as depressing as this shootout lineup
Which is fine, since they go away in the playoffsWhen has this team ever been built for shootouts?
Why not Swayman busting down the middle with his goalie stick?Studnicka was an option
I'm not sure any goalie stops the first 2 successful NYR shootout shots. They went 2/9 which actually isn’t that bad, especially considering the goalie.
Shootouts are short so it’s all about sequencing. You need goals and saves at the same time. They didn’t line up tonight. If Swayman stops either the Panarin or Zibanejad attempts we are t talking about how the Bruins shooters stink.
Of course. Just pointing out that when they lose a shootout everyone usually complains that our shooters stink. Shesterkin has a .778 save percentage in shootouts this year. He had .778 last night. The shooters were fine. Swayman was too.I'm not sure any goalie stops the first 2 successful NYR shootout shots.
And thats nothing compared to Patrick Roy back in the day.I was talking with a Rangers fan and told him NESN showed Shesterkin with the crazy eyes and he said "he always does that" which is very russian goalie. I hope thats true.
