Between here and everywhere.
The Calgary Flames are not a good hockey team. Even the Providence Bruins should be able to beat them. Tonight we find out if that is the case.

Hopefully some home cooking and rest got rid of any lingering effects from the flu that swept through the team. Also - let's hope returning to these ladies helps the team as well:

Might be a few empty seats tonight as Weather Underground has it snowing 1+ inches an hour between 4 and 10.  Communte's going to be hairy.

Bah, I'm supposed to go into the city for a play.  Not sure I want to come back to 4 inches of snow.

Fraser has left the building.

Not literally. Though I'm sure it's possible.

This is like watching a preseason game. Perhaps 10K in the building watching Craig Cunningham, Kevan Miller and Nick Johnson in the lineup. Guys like Loui Eriksson, Dougie Hamilton, Chris Kelly, Shawn Thornton, and Mike Cammalleri not playing.

Kevan Miller might be to McQuaid what McQuaid was to Mark Stuart. Miller is a very solid player. The only drop off from McQuaid is with the fists.

Ryan Spooner, penalty killer. His defensive game has come a long way.

He's made me start searching for landing spots for Kelly's 2/$6 remaining after this year. He's never going to be a shutdown guy but he looks like he can be competent defensively which is a huge step for him. Soderberg-Spooner-Smith would make a hell of a 3rd line when everyone's healthy.

Clearly the key to becoming a great goal scorer is having an eye gouged out by a stick.

I wouldn't be upset at all if Marchand was traded in the offseason
Yeah, for the shit season he's having, he should have shut the fuck up against Vancouver, too.

It took me 4.5 hours to get back to Somerville from Hartford today. But I caught the final nine minutes and Rad's Benny Hill impression with the empty net. So not all was lost.
