I mean when your three best penalty killers are out it’s tough to get kills against good teams on the road.

3 goals has been a tough bar to hit for the Bruins this year, especially with the injuries. Need a big 3rd here.

Sure. But Acciari was totally flat footed and I have no idea what Lauzon was doing other than watching the puck. That can’t happen.

The war room would’ve stopped it if it was in.

Yeah this has been one of their best performances of the season. Hope they can get a bounce here.

They’re definitely outworking them tonight. Backes really leading the way there.

I’d double shift 88 the rest of the way. Send him out with the 3rd or 4th line.

Including Miller getting hit in the throat and DeBrusk in the helmet (DeBrusk seems ok)

Considering Bjork has played one shift since his penalty, it wouldn’t change much in the line rotation.

Puck luck gods weren’t with them tonight. Nothing to complain about.

And of course Toronto ruins Hall & Oates.

I don't think bjork or heinen could win a puck battle with Lt. Dan.

Well if they get that kind of effort with a full team against these guys they’ll run them out of the rink.

You’re being a little tough on Heinen. He wasn’t that bad tonight.

Silver lining here, I hope, is that some of these AHLers can hang. They don't need any dumb Nick Holden or Lee Stempniak trades at the deadline. They just need a middle 6 center.

Toronto media was calling this their biggest game of the year.

They could get some help back on Thursday with Carlo and McAvoy. Still searching for middle 6 finish, but that was the best Marchand and Pasta have played since Bergy went down.

Only watched the third period but I was impressed by how some of the young defensemen looked, at least in terms of moving the puck. Couple little mishaps, but they don’t seem to be timid.

If the organization actually thinks like that it’s a good indication of why they haven’t won since the Johnson Administration.

I wish they did. I assume they're too smart for that. But Toronto's fucking fan base...ugh

Agreed. I’m comfortable with the D 1-12. Save the picks put all trade assets towards a center or big time winger.

Clifton played 24:56 tonight, all at 5x5. 57% CF, though he was on the ice for a goal against. I think they have something with him.

On the other side, Bjork stunk out loud. Not the response they were looking for out of him. 9:04 TOI, on the ice for 2 goals against and was in the penalty box for the other goal Toronto scored. I’m mostly happy with his play to date even if the production hasn’t happened, but this was a putrid game for him. Wonder if he’s teetering on a Providence demotion.

Miller staying in the hospital overnight. XRays were negative, keeping him in as a precaution.

Agreed on Bjork. Some time in Providence might be good for him. Donato has 9 points in 10 games, maybe swap them or give Fitzgerald, Hughes, or Cehlarik a look.

He didn't seem to be able to either keep the puck when challenged or successfully challenge one who had it. He was miles ahead of bjork, though.

Bjork played only 9 games in Providence last year. He’s played 49 with the Bruins between last year and this year. He’s trying to learn how to play pro hockey in the NHL. That’s a big ask.

But he has the skills. I consider him a better player than Donato — he’s more physical, a better skater and he has elite speed. I’d keep him around.

Haggs has got pictures on someone. There is no other plausible reason why he is employed in this town.

In a market with some strange goings-on, this was really weird. Did Dale beat out Haggs for a job? Maybe NESN once turned down Haggs's offer to be a contributor there.

No, Haggs is just a jerk. Plain and simple. This isn’t the first time he’s been an ass towards another Bruins media member.

All you really need to know is the one person that can stand him is Jimmy Murphy.

Haggerty is among the hackiest hacks that's ever graced this series of tubes. I'd wager that ~80% of this board could (and does) write better prose than him.

Lest we forget, his employer mistakenly posted a first draft of his a few years ago that encapsulates the range of his talents:

I envision Haggs and Jimmy Murphy retreating to the sewers like DeVito's version of Oswald Cobblepot to write their pieces.

Haggerty has looked over other writers shoulders, listened in on interviews and then published as his own. The Bruins beat writers are a tight group and universally shun him to my understanding. He is in every sense of the word a hack.
