Hat tip to Riverboat Claude for sticking with 3 forwards and Hamilton on the ice for a D zone draw in OT.LogansDad said:What a great move by Dougie to get that play started, too
I thought Svedberg was pretty solid. Definitely let up some rebounds, but facing some of these shots is probably a lot different from AHL shots (I assume). He looked far quicker post to post than Johnson, and very decisive when he needed to be.The Napkin said:3 pretty nice plays on that.
I like to win. Good for Svedberg. He looked pretty decent. Earned another start at least.
This is where I'm at. Spooner's played himself onto the roster. Provided he doesn't hit a huge slump, his speed brings a lot to that third line and Thornton's the odd man out. I think I'd prefer to keep Eriksson with Bergeron and Marchand however. You would have a top line of KLI that have a lot of scoring ability, a great two-way line that still has scoring touch, an offensively skilled third line that would be a matchup nightmare, and a fourth line with two "centers" who could both take draws (and a lot of speed in Kelly and Paille). They just need to get healthy.cshea said:If (and it's a big if) everyone is healthy, I think they have to sit Thornton.
Lucic - Krejci - Iginla
Marchand - Bergeron - Smith
Soderberg - Spooner - Eriksson
Paille - Kelly - Campbell
Thornton
I believe that is the best lineup they could put out there. Eriksson and Smith would be interchangeable. Smith has played well will both lines, and Eriksson showed some flashes in his brief time playing with Soderberg.
