Once we took out Houck and gave up a bunch of runs, it was time for us to score a couple runs in garbage time.

4 IP in two days. And will likely be rewarded with a trip back to Worcester so that Cora has another arm for the bullpen game tomorrow.

The generic video open for NESN Extra Innings shows Story making a great play and throwing to Casas, then Bello pitching, then Pivetta celebrating.
Sigh. I would like to see these guys playing for us dammit.

When are the Sox going to get a few flamethrowers for the bullpen? It seems like every team has a couple of these guys.
If we had any of those guys, their arms would come flying off - and not only injure the pitcher, but also strike Wong and McGuire in the trachea. Or the larynx. Not sure which. Somewhere in the throat.

Ass kicking with our best pitcher going. Hope for the reverse lock tomorrow.
Maybe next time take out the guy who couldn’t get through the order twice last year when he’s at 100 pitches going into the 7th.
Would have felt a lot better about today losing 1-0 than 5-2.

Two straight games with 4 hits and a bunch of squanders, this one's on the offense.

I'm confused. The box for the game says Houck gave up four earned runs. (Didn't watch the game.)
He had allowed 1 run through 6 (in reference to the post you quoted) Cora left him in even though he was at like 94 pitches, and everything went south.

Then Uwasawa came in (for the second day in a row) and things went to Antarctica, so I watched the Reds play the Orioles for the rest of the night.

Houck was excellent and deserved better.
