Going the fun bet route there, and banking that a hyped up Holm keeps finding a way to disappoint.

At least until the end of the fight, RDA looked much more energetic at 170. A few weeks ago on MMA Hour he said he was 185 lbs at 16 years old, he's been cutting a ton of weight to get to 155. He looked good against a solid fighter in Saffeidine

I was barely awake for that one but I didn't think it was a great performance. RDA still doesn't look like the killer he was just before and as the champ.

Spoiler alert if you haven't seen it yet, but the Holm fight went about as I expected. At least in the second half. Betch was scared to engage, which is all I was worried about, but then the ref told them to fight, Holly saw a low right hand and put he shin on it. Hope you all made a lil dough!

You really hate her huh?
I don't hate her, just the surrounding sell that she's a main event worthy fighter that should be headlining any cards. Even your random overseas one.

Nice finish. Glad I didn't put the time aside to wait for it live through.

I'm guessing Hendricks just never mentally got past getting screwed out of that GSP fight on his way up. Also surprised he's not in Bellator yet.

Wait, BJ Penn is fighting again tonight? C'mon Dana that last fight was heartbreaking enough to watch.

This Bellator card has been bananas.

Hyped up prospect gets choked out
Chandler rolls and blows his ankle
Fedor and Mitrione double knockdown, and Mitrione gets up first and TKOs Fedor

I found the Bellator card to be very entertaining. Was left really feeling for Chandler there. That was a rough break. Chael seemed to have more in the tank then I thought he would too.

The Rory that should up last fight is going to roll right over Lima and own that place. Too bad his personality is such a marketing dud.

The punching bag display Penn put on to end that was kinda sad.

Googling his career earnings has him at a little under $3m total. Guess that might explain why Dana keeps running him out there if he might need the paycheck, because that is couple fights in a row now where you can walk away with the impression that he really doesn't want to be in there.

I've said I don't wanna see Penn fight anymore but I really mean it now. Dennis fucking Siver?

Hendricks is undoubtedly fat.

I don't know about that being some huge controversy. Early stoppage, but the inevitable tap looked about 3 seconds away to me.

That was fucking amazing. It seemed like Johnson reached a point of resignation where he realized there was no way he could get Gaetje out of there and was beaten shortly after that moment. That was the absolutely pinnacle of the sport.

Beyond his incredible chin / toughness, I was impressed with Gaetje's left hand and his willingness to take shots to land it. I am also curious if anyone (Marciano...) can give us the downsides of Gaetje's dramatic striking guard, where he puts his head down and buries it in his forearms? It seemed like several of the power punches Johnson threw were really only punishing Gaetje's arms and that Gaetje was able to quickly counter from the guard. It seems like that position would leave him very vulnerable to an opponent following up strikes up high with low kicks or a takedown attempt.

This 213 card has been so unlucky. The second straight year International Fight Week has been marred by fighters pulling out.

This card lost Garbrandt-Dillashaw, Cerrone-Lawler, and now Nunes-Shevchenko.

that was a great fight. Romero was too gassed to get any takedowns in the later rounds. Whittaker kept the pressure on.

It was funny seeing Bisping try to get in Whittaker's head, and Whittaker just standing there enjoying the show. Nothing phases him

Missed these. If they're on YouTube I'll check it out and analyze gladly.

Gegard Mousasi to Bellator. 185 in UFC is Whittaker and a bunch of 35+ guys probably passed their prime, Weidman who's lost three straight and Gastelum who's had weight issues. Maybe UFC thinks in a couple years he'll want to go back

Kinda shocked at seeing this, especially coming off the win over Weidman.

Huge score for Bellator.

Rockhold is only 32 and is still probably the best fighter in the division.

Totally forgot about Rockhold, which makes sense since he hasn't fought in over a year because of a knee injury. He was supposed to fight Jacare last November. I'd like to see Rockhold fight Yoel Romero next for the #1 contender spot.

Edit: the GSP nonsense delayed everything in this division 6 months, so Rockhold being injured may have been a blessing since Jacare, Romero, and Weidman all lost in Rockhold's absence.

I feel like I'm seeing Oceans 25. Floyd = Clooney , CM = Pitt. People that buy this fight are the marks (which I might end up being one of, lol)

CM looked a little flustered. The whole thing was a bit of a let down. Damn Floyd is a lot smaller though, even with the puffy sweatsuit.

Much like in the UFC, Conor is at his best counter striking. His best few lines were when Floyd started talking but then they cut off his microphone.

Anyone else catch Conor catch himself saying "Dance for me boy" to Floyd before switching boy to son?

I did. He used racial trash talk enthusiastic ly with Aldo and Dos Santos. It's interesting that he caught himself this time. Maybe because it's a much bigger stage.

It looks like Floyd and Connor talked it over offline and decided that they really like the headlines that line has been getting, because it's part of the script now.

That's certainly true, I thought he was finished if that went on for a few more seconds, though Weidman did pop right up at the end of the round.

I hope Gastelum learned his lesson with this fight. He has the boxing and scrambling skills to beat non top 5 MWs, but he can't hand with the monsters at the top of the weight class who are on his skill level and simply much bigger than him. He needs to get his nutrition and weight cutting under control and go fight at 170, where he could be a champ.
