Seems a lot of people around here don’t like Collinsworth, same with Romo, but the posts complaining about them are more annoying than they could be. I personally think that they, along with Aikman, are head and shoulders above the rest.
I don't understand the Collinsworth hate. I think he's pretty good. Romo is terrible. And Aikman is slowing down.

Man, if you let a QB do that to you, that's just poor. That ain't Walter Frickin' Payton, man, but might as well be for your sorry-ass excuse for a defense.

Collinsworth's mannerisms are way more bothersome to me than any other notable CC guy in the game. The chuckling and constant bemusement with relatively routine plays.

After he got hit he just flat out outran the DBs even starting 3 steps in front of them. That’s embarrassing.

That's fair. It doesn't really bother me. Verbal diarrhea like Romo bothers me.

The thing of THAT MOMENT COULD TURN AROUND THE GAME is kind of a puke-y cliche, but it happens to have the ring of truth to it.

Romo obsessed with running clock, that makes no difference in this situation. PIT would have had two TO and like 1:45 or more left from inside the 35 even if Buffalo ran twice.

Feel more sure of this if Steelers were getting second half kick off.

Not Lynn (or Ocean Side)
I looked it up........ old friend Eric Rowe
He’s actually been a nice fill-in while Fitzpatrick was out and Kazee was suspended. Between their safety health problems and losing both their starting ILBs in Alexander and Holcomb, they’re really scraping the barrel for warm bodies. Their D is really good when it’s healthy, and by all rights would be justified in ignoring the offense.

What? Taking it down to two minutes makes no difference. Romo is just rambling nonsense
I think his point is that if they run the ball twice instead of 2 incomplete passes, they run the clock down and potentially get the first.

I think.

Maybe I rate Romo too high because of that game in which he called three Patriots plays before the snaps on a single drive (Kansas City AFCCC or Atlanta Super Bowl was it?).
He didn't predict plays. He saw them run plays in practice and "called" the plays based on that. Teams then told him to cut the shit which is why he doesn't do it any longer.

That was in Romo’s first year, when he was good. Since then he’s gotten worse and worse. There are precious few announcers I can’t stand, and he’s at the top of the list.

Yeah, Buffalo not having their punter in this game will be a real killer. Someone call 911 for me. I hurt my eyes rolling them.
It could really hurt. Forget about bad punts - got to be worried about turnovers from someone not used to punting, especially in these conditions. I think you have to have a QB do it (the second or third string guy) because they'd be most likely to handle the long snap cleanly.

He might have been right. But, as they showed last night, "running out the clock" doesnt mean *running*.
