Whenever you have tied teams at the top, and there are arguments about which to take, and one has won head to head, I have always thought it’s kind of a mixed analysis. On the one hand, head to head should matter. But on the other hand, if your only loss was the team that also has an argument to be in, by definition, it is a very good loss. I think if you say Texas should be in, then Alabama has the best loss of the season. Same with Georgia.
That’s Alabama’s problem. How do you say their h2h win over GA puts them ahead of GA, if TX’s win against ALA doesn’t put them ahead of ALA.
Which is just a long way of saying, I just don’t see how ALA can be in over TX. Only way I put ALA through is if FSU is out.
