I'm not yet convinced of this. Breaking down by team:Dudes gonna price himself right out of New England.
And he deserves every penny.
Bills: Allen - all set
Dolphins: Tua - all set
Jets: Darnold - not likely and may be in position to draft the top 2021 guys
Patriots: Cam/Stidham
Steelers: Roethlisberger - potential option if Ben retires
Ravens: Jackson - all set
Bengals: Burrow - all set
Browns: Mayfield - all set unless he blows up this year
Titans: Tannehill - all set
Colts: Rivers - probably all set for next year
Jaguars: Potential option although they seem to like Minshew for some reason
Texans: Watson - all set
Chiefs: Mahomes - all set
Raiders: Depends on Carr this year - they can move on cheaply after this year, if needed
Broncos: Lock and likely top pick - probably all set but can't rule it out
Chargers: Herbert - all set
Cowboys: All set unless Dak goes elsewhere (doubtful)
Giants: Seem to like Jones and may be in play for top 2021 guys
Eagles: Wentz - all set
Redskins: Doubt they move on from Haskins so quickly
Packers: Rodgers/Love - all set
Bears: Foles probably the short term answer
Vikings: Cousins - all set
Lions: Stafford - all set for 2021
Bucs: Brady seems to have job for 2021
Saints: Brees likely done after this year. Does Cam fit their offense? Redundant with Taysom Hill?
Panthers: Bridgewater - Cam ain't going back
Falcons: Matty Ice contract has $40M in dead cap next year - all set for now
Seahawks: Wilson - all set
Rams: Goff - all set
Niners: Jimmy - all set
Cardinals: Murray - all set
Unless I'm missing something, there just don't seem to be more than a handful of potential landing spots so I doubt a huge bidding war erupts. Seems to me that both parties should be motivated to get a deal done if the rest of the season goes as the first 3 have gone.
