Then I miss read some stuff. Remove the GS injury part, it was more a commentary on announcers and stupid comments. You do know Leonard was injured prior to the game and re-tweaked his ankle stepping on his own teammate's foot, right?

To be clear, he left the game after Zaza Pachulia fouled him. Some here think it was dirty. I didn't see it that way. But he was hurt before. Then I miss read some stuff. Remove the GS injury part, it was more a commentary on announcers and stupid comments.
It always is. It's part of the package with Green.
No foul on that dunk? And the touch on the other end. The NBA is tough to take seriously.I love Turn Back The Clock Manu
If saying fuck in the refs direction was truly an automatic T like IT got hit with, then Draymond simply wouldn't be playing basketball like ever. He'd get tossed over and over again.
Oh, I know all about Draymond, but today has been really bad since the early fouls he got. I've seen the refs T up IT4 for less demonstrative shit than Draymond has done repeatedly today.
Yeah, pretty much this. He should be suspended, but of course he won't be.I see it differently with Pachulia. I think he contested and then took a couple little steps forward to get underneath him.
Tough to call it a squander when they lose to the greatest team of all time. What a squander by SA.
They don't lose the game if Leonard plays the rest of the gameWhat a squander by SA.
No kidding. Anyone calling this a squander is way off. Warriors needed Kawhi out of the game for last 20 mins to win by 2. Spurs should be up 1-0. Irritating. They don't lose the game if Leonard plays the rest of the game
And the 2nd best player in the NBA leaves with an injury.Tough to call it a squander when they lose to the greatest team of all time.
He left the game with a 23 point lead. Of course, they would have won if he didn't get hurt, but it doesn't make it any less of a squander by the remaining players. No kidding. Anyone calling this a squander is way off. Warriors needed Kawhi out of the game for last 20 mins to win by 2. Spurs should be up 1-0. Irritating.
Even if he is, who cares really. Taking a half (or more) from Leonard is worth way more than a game from zaza. There's no real alternative I guess, but all sports seem to have this issue of iffy players taking out stars without much in the way of repercussions to their teamYeah, pretty much this. He should be suspended, but of course he won't be.
FTR, I didn't see it that way either. From the baseline camera angle, it didn't look like he moved underneath any more than his momentum from the shot contest naturally brought him.To be clear, he left the game after Zaza Pachulia fouled him. Some here think it was dirty. I didn't see it that way. But he was hurt before.
The remaining players were the JV team and Aldridge. Don't think many teams survive that onslaught without 2 key players, one being a top 5 guy.He left the game with a 23 point lead. Of course, they would have won if he didn't get hurt, but it doesn't make it any less of a squander by the remaining players.
Looked pretty dirty to me. Took an extra step after the ball was released, and after his initial contest. He basically contests a second time post release.FTR, I didn't see it that way either. So, foul - yes. Nothing more.
Yeah, love his enthusiasm but DeJesus is basically Spicy when it comes to the Warriors.DeJesus also thought Draymond hitting LeBron in the nuts wasn't a dirty play so take that with a grain of salt...
I don't really follow them other than being in love with Curry's handle and jumper, but why the hate? I lived out there for a couple decades, and that fan base supported some terrible teams. Honestly just curious.Warriors fans are truly the worst.
Doesn't hurt that they have Curry and Durant to carry themSo, basically every break went Warriors way in 2nd half.
Green's garbage last year was far more obvious and you still didn't agree with the general consensus so why would you start now? That's my point. You're going to take the pro-Warriors angle on everything. It's simply what you do and your history on this board suggests this.@BSF and Kliq - way to attack the post and not the poster guys. GJGE. Watch the replay, it's debatable at best whether Zaza was trying to hurt Leonard. You are making it out as if its clearly dirty. Its a play that happens in every NBA game everywhere and not the equivalent of what Green did.
I'm not saying that play was inherently dirty, just that you might not be the most reliable source of an opinion.@BSF and Kliq - way to attack the post and not the poster guys. GJGE. I see a small hop at the end that seems to be part of his forward momentum / stopping. All I can say is that "dirty play" never even entered my mind until I caught up on posts here.Looked pretty dirty to me. Took an extra step after the ball was released, and after his initial contest. He basically contests a second time post release.
I thought Lambeer was a master at that. I recall a Bird story where once he placed his foot where Lambeer was going to land, Lambeer never tried to do that to Bird again.Just bring Bowen out of retirement to do his signature move to Steph. He basically invented that shit
I said Green got what he deserved and that it was bad. What I disagreed with was the suggestion that Green "kicked" or "punched" LeBron. That didn't happen.Green's garbage last year was far more obvious and you still didn't agree with the general consensus so why would you start now? That's my point. Whatever you say. Just not worth it so I'll drop it.I said Green got what he deserved and that it was bad. What I disagreed with was the suggestion that Green "kicked" or "punched" LeBron. That didn't happen.
I think this one is iffy. Could go either way. Given the known injury to Kawhi and the person responsible, I'm inclined to be a slight lean towards not unintentional.I see a small hop at the end that seems to be part of his forward momentum / stopping. All I can say is that "dirty play" never even entered my mind until I caught up on posts here.
Obviously, people are seeing this one differently.
Spurs cheat to win?Spurs are the Pats of the NBA
Warriors are the Broncos of the NBA
Dude....Goats and dirty players. Nuff said.Spurs cheat to win?
And Warriors are lucky to win with an overthehill all-time great?
Lambeer got off the ground?I thought Lambeer was a master at that. I recall a Bird story where once he placed his foot where Lambeer was going to land, Lambeer never tried to do that to Bird again.
Yeah, the "dirty play" people are looking for reasons that don't exist. Pachulia's momentum is carrying him toward the shooter......as the momentum carries ALL closeout defenders toward the shooter. He takes another step/hop step because as a 7-foot lumbering big (for the most part) Zaza doesn't possess the agility to really do much else 25 feet from the basket. These types of innocuous plays occur a dozen times in every NBA game.....many times a personal foul is called on the closeout defender per the rule that you must allow the shooter to land. Noboby has called closeouts a dirty play all season but it is now because Kawhi has a bad ankle? It really is a silly argument imo. Even Kawhi said so.I see a small hop at the end that seems to be part of his forward momentum / stopping. All I can say is that "dirty play" never even entered my mind until I caught up on posts here.

I will just add that you are clearly rooting for the Spurs as evidenced upthread and this is totally cool.Whatever you say. Just not worth it so I'll drop it.
I have been quite consistent in my support of the Spurs over the years. That is already out there. And despite all that, I already said that this play was iffy. Some NBA players and execs thought it was dirty and others thought it was just an accident. I can see it both ways. I also remember having numerous conversations with Spurs fans about Bowen (to this day some won't acknowledge his dirty tactics). If it's your guy/team, you're naturally going to give him more leeway. I know I did with KG.I will just add that you are clearly rooting for the Spurs as evidenced upthread and this is totally cool.
However if you are going to argue that my bias (please leave politics out of this forum) colors my view of Zaza' s foul you should at least acknowledge that yours does the same for you.
Personally I would prefer to discuss the actual play rather than relitigating past debates which have nothing to do with this series.
