If he didn't, that would move George up and possibly put Hayward on the 3rd team, making him supermax worthy too.
He's played 59 games this year. That's still 75% of the season and I'm not totally sure that precludes his inclusion. How have voters historically taken injuries into account? If Hayward or George makes an All-NBA team that totally changes the dynamics of their availability this summer. If he didn't, that would move George up and possibly put Hayward on the 3rd team, making him supermax worthy too.
Outside of the Brad Stevens connection we have no actual evidence that Gordon Hayward would even consider leaving Utah. But in the event that he found Boston (or another team) to be an equal or somewhat superior basketball situation I'm of the belief that an extra $70 million would alleviate those concerns and get him to re-up with the Jazz.I hate to ask (because I could look it up), but if Hayward is set on leaving Utah, does it make any difference?
I realize the extra money might make him change his mind about being set on leaving.
I'm assuming you mean the Warriors without KD? Otherwise, it's a curious claim. The Warriors have better than double the Cavs' point differential (+12.5 to +5.2), in a tougher conference. They're ranked #1 in the league in offense (by far) and #2 in defense, where the Cavs are #3 in offense and a sorry #20 in defense. 538 currently has them a 54% shot to win it all and the Cavs as a 7% shot (which I assume still factors in a healthy Durant).I like the cavs better than the warriors now as long as love is okay.
This clip is one of a million reasons why the NBA is the best sports league going, period. Awesome...
I'm pretty sure you can hear him get hacked on the arm. Wow.Taj Gibson with the three-quarter court heave, beautiful arc, ceiling-scraping halftime buzzer-beater.
They're really getting good at this game.
Yeah, noticed that as well. What a play.I'm pretty sure you can hear him get hacked on the arm. Wow.
538 has them at under 1 percent to make the playoffs currently, which seems pretty accurate.Pelicans probably need to go something like 14-7 down the stretch to capture the #8 seed. The schedule isn't too taxing, but they have little margin for error.
If we are evaluating every team at their optimal level; I think GS is number one but Houston is right behind them. When they run that pick and roll with Harden you have to worry about:Rockets are averaging 124.5 points a game since trading for Louis Williams. Eric Gordon set a record with 180 3's off the bench.
Can you expand on this? I missed it.Warriors/Knicks played the first half without music so fans could experience the game in its purest form. Interesting idea. The players reaction to the silence in warm ups was great.
No organ music or songs playing on the sound-system. The atmosphere is similar to your average high school basketball game with just fan noise in the background. Can you expand on this? I missed it.
Cool. If the crowd is into it, that might workNo organ music or songs playing on the sound-system. The atmosphere is similar to your average high school basketball game with just fan noise in the background.
Their issue is can they stop anyone. They can score with anyone and any playoff series with them is going to be high scoring and fun.If we are evaluating every team at their optimal level; I think GS is number one but Houston is right behind them. When they run that pick and roll with Harden you have to worry about:
A) James Harden getting the basket; one of the 3-4 best pure scorers in the game. Worse, he gets to the line and gets your players in foul trouble.
B) A lineup of lethal outside shooters in Anderson, Gordon, Williams and Ariza. Harden is such a good passer that a double team on him is basically suicide if these guys are on the floor.
C) Capela rolling to the rim. He's the least frightening option but also takes the highest percentage shot.
The versatility, length and discipline to combat that kind of an attack is off the charts. I think they are a real threat to win the title.
Or one of the dozen coaches charting it from the bench.During the Warriors - Knicks game, they show coach Kerr, mic'd up and talking to Curry. Says, even though your shooting may be off, look at your +/-. If was tied for the best on the Ws. So Mark Jackson says something like how do you get info like that right up to the moment. Well, duh, ESPN or a half dozen other places on any mobile device.
Some uninspired play from the Rockets in the 2nd quarter, plus three three's from Tony P. in 3rd has the Spurs within two now.Rockets just scored 39 points against the Spurs in the first quarter in SA.
Which sucks, because he's a hell of player. A defensive stalwart with vision and passing skill on the offensive end.Actually, Bogut didn't even get in a full minute. Apparently he played 58 seconds, managed to pick up two fouls ... then broke his leg. This guy looks like he's built like a bull but breaks like a sugar wafer.
And a skeleton and musculature made of glass and paper mache.Which sucks, because he's a hell of player. A defensive stalwart with vision and passing skill on the offensive end.
Should honestly be MVP.Good grief, Kawhi...
