DE Rob Ninkovich tore his triceps. It is unknown how long he will be sidelined. If he returns, how much loss of strength affects him is key.
That's really good news. If it was the tendon he'd need surgery and miss the year. Musculotendinous tears are more like 6-8 weeks, return in a Bledsoe brace for the yearPer one of my sources, if it's a minor tear of the triceps it's a 4-8 week injury. If it needs surgery it's 12-16 weeks and likely put on IR.
How is Asnis' reputation? Better or worse than Gill? That's really good news. If it was the tendon he'd need surgery and miss the year. Musculotendinous tears are more like 6-8 weeks, return in a Bledsoe brace for the year
Nearly an entire training camp of 1st team reps helps.Grissom just locked down his roster spot. Now it would be nice if he or Flowers can take a step forward.
He won't be cut. He's one of the most important players on the defense and he has not lost a step at all. He's going to miss 2-3 games at the most and it's not an injury that will have lasting effect on him.I appreciate Nink but for awhile now have been wondering how an "Effort player" like him would age.
Any chance he is cut? He is not signed for 2017 and If I am reading Miguels right it would save 1.45 million. Not alot...but some spending money for when teams start cutting down to 53.
Can they even cut him if he is injured?
The bolded is borderline absurd. How can you say that of a player with a torn triceps who plays on the line? If he loses any strength over the next 6 weeks, it could very well have a lasting effect on his season. He won't be cut. I don't think you understood my point. If he tore the tendon, it would have lasting effects down the road similar to Jerod Mayo tearing his pec and possibly Solder with the bicep. Nink's tricep surely will be not be 100% during the season but it will be close and with a full offseason he will be fine. The bolded is borderline absurd.
