Its very strange.  Never seen ESPN not have live updating on one of their fantasy games ever.  Gotta think someone is losing their job today because of this.  It's like 99% of the fun of doing these things.  Watching it play out in real time.  Very strange.

I selected Colts players this week, not because I really had faith that they would win, but because I figured it was my only chance to make up ground.  Not looking too good.
Oh well....

Still a fun and very generous contest.

If Mike McCarthy hadn't defecated down his pant leg, I'd have had a real good shot at this.  Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.  Many thanks to johnmd20 for his generosity in putting this together.

Jesus, this group is playing pretty damn well.  I'm at 99.3% of all players, and I'm in like 7th place, about 40 points back in the pool.  Our pool has an average of just under 200 points each, which has us ranked 146th in the entire game on ESPN.  I just looked at the top 50 or so that they have listed, and all of them only had like 21 players in each pool.  I imagine all of those statistics are going to change significantly next week as players who took guys from GB and Indy get eliminated, but up until now, hard to do much better than we have as a group.

Soxhop has been outrageous.  Unfortunately for me, the only difference between my roster and his this week is our kickers.  I have Hauschka and he has Ghost, so I ain't winning this thing.  His Amendola choice last week seems to be the difference between him and most everyone else.

The person who has the best score in the entire game has 417 points.  Soxhop has 407.  Soxhop, does it tell you anywhere where you are ranked in the game individually and how many players there are total?  I'm guessing that there are like 100,000 people in this thing and you are probably in the top 20 or so.

That's pretty incredible dude.  Nice job.  Can't imagine you'll be able to move up much, because I'm guessing almost everyone up there has the basically perfect lineup you have this week and for the Super Bowl, but really impressive.  Where do you find that screen?  I'd be curious to see where I stand at 99.3%.

Ahh.  It only shows the top 100, and you can't go any further, so you can see yours because you're so high up (you're at 15th now, BTW), but it doesn't go far enough for me to see where I stand.  Congrats again though.

Everyone can see where they are ranked. Click on your team and in the black box up top it shows your ranking I'm 3634.
I don't know what your name is or I'd tell you where you are.

Man, cracked the top 10 and have all my players going in the Super Bowl and still have just about no chance.

Brady, Wilson, Lynch, Blount, and Gronk appear to be universally picked. There's a good split at K and DEF, but I think the WR will be key. It looks like most have two of Edelman, Baldwin, and Lafell.

To be honest I am shocked I am doing this well. I have always been a terrible fantasy player.

The SoTB showing is even more impressive when you look at the last page of our group which has ~20 people who either didn't pick or blew off the last round.

Soxhop looking pretty good here. Damn impressive Mr. Hop! This pool might be a fight for second place, unless the Pats D scores a few touchdowns and Seattle gets torched.

Congrats tot he winners. SoxHop411 collects the 800 and TheShyness nets 300. Azr1990 collects the 100, but I haven't heard from him or her yet.

Soxhop and TSC have been paid. Well done. Let me know if the payments did not show for whatever reason. It was a 100th percentile for both of you. Soxhop was tied for 37th overall. That is amazing, well done. It was going to take a performance like that to win against so many people. But 37th in the entire pool is nearly legendary.

I am not sure if setting up this pool gave the Patriots the gumption to come back against both the Ravens and the Seahawks. I'd like to think it made a difference. So, yes, I'm saying it was me who brought the Pats over the top. Not Butler. Not Brady. Not Revis. Not Julian. Not Shane "Ben" Vereen. Me. :)

Congrats again, this was fun. Barring an unforeseen tragedy, there is no reason why this pool can't happen again next year.

149th ranked group in the whole thing. Nice job everyone and JohnMD20 great idea and thanks for both thinking of it and doing it. Much love.

And our group was weighed down by a bunch of people who stopped making picks b/c they were out of it. That is a fine performance for a group considering that fact.

Between here and everywhere.
I received payment, and donated $150 (half) of it to the Fisher House Foundation on behalf of SoSH and Malcolm Butler.

Thanks again for doing this, and for your extreme generosity.

Pretty good effort everyone. Two players in the top 50 overall.

I remained in 7th and 1,149 overall. Not bad out of 175,000

Lets hope we are doing this again next year when Brady is going for ring number 5!
