If he’s bored enough he will find a way to pump somebody up way too much. I thought he was actually gearing up to suggest McSorley may be a real NFL talent we should keep an eye on, but he stopped short.

What if they find out today Brissett is out for 3-4 weeks with a shoulder issue?

I think Mayo's continued reluctance to say Maye has won the QB competition, which he clearly has, tells me they feel the same way i do when i think about Maye going against the Bengals, Jets , 49er's, Seahawks number 1's. If they dont sign either from waivers or the few remaining lineman out there on the market i dont see how this team even manages to look respectful if this is what we got. Last night was not pretty against the 2's and 3's of the mighty Commanders defense, the Jets and 49er's defense in the first 4 weeks is a brutal ask for this team right now..

So the thing with this is... we don't see 90% of the QB battle, we only see pre-season games, which are a small part of it. AVP's comments are really good for insight, which is... pre-season isn't the regular season, you don't see any real disguise or exotic coverages, it's mostly line up and play. One reason why some QBs look awesome in pre-season every year and aren't playable in the regular season.

Lazar said that Lowe has improved this summer. And so have the rookies. Maybe having an actual OL coach matters?

It is funny, I was searching his name on twitter to see if he was playing yesterday. One of the first results was an Eagles reporter tweet of clips of Lowe working Nolan Smith. Obviously it was about Smith and his development, but it was nice to see Lowe putting up some good reps against a guy who was a 1st round pick and pass down specialist.
