Yes, exactly.Because it feels phony, forced, whatever.
It just totally sucks and ruins my day hearing all these stories about how his teammates like him. And where does Belichick get off saying he likes him, too. Enough of that. Kraft has to put a stop to it.Yes, exactly.
At first I didn't think I'd like him. Then I did. Then he threw the ball into the turf frequently. Now comes all these shitty nicknames. I'm tried of "Cam's a leader," "Cam has the locker room," "Cam has swag." Cool hats, swag, and half baked nicknames aren't cutting it for me. How about fixing your damn footwork so you can throw with accuracy for more than, like, a quarter of the season?
I've been trying to get down with the Cam Newton Experience, but it's felt wrong for a long while now.
You think pretty much every teammate in his career and other guys around the league are all putting on some front and they don't all really love this guy?Wow, those Kicker/Snapper/Punter Guy monikers are pretty brilliant. Doughboy? Little Bud? Sorry but this all sounds like an entitled a-hole who's trying to be endearing ... and everyone goes along with it because Cam Newton.
A guy is making millions of dollars to play a game, and he has the audacity to have fun while doing so.It just totally sucks and ruins my day hearing all these stories about how his teammates like him. And where does Belichick get off saying he likes him, too. Enough of that. Kraft has to put a stop to it.
My thoughts and prayers are with you through these difficult times.Wow, those Kicker/Snapper/Punter Guy monikers are pretty brilliant. Doughboy? Little Bud? Sorry but this all sounds like an entitled a-hole who's trying to be endearing ... and everyone goes along with it because Cam Newton.
I think that's the whole joke - he's poking fun at the idea of a QB who doesn't bother to learn the specialists' names. My concern is that calling people ‘snapper guy’ and ‘kicker guy’…does that imply that he doesn’t bother knowing their names? Not a big deal…maybe that’s not uncommon. I don’t know
Mac Jones was 6 of 8 and was third in line for all but one period. However, Jones spent a lot of time on the field with the starters on offense and defense – definitely more than Hoyer, probably about equal to Stidham – and the defense gave him some challenging looks with sub-package personnel groupings.
It’s been clear, not just Thursday but in the prior viewing sessions, that Bill Belichick’s defense is not throwing vanilla looks at the rookie. That’s why he’s had some stretches of check-downs in previous workouts. It’d be more concerning if the defense was lining up in base with predictable coverages, but they’re working Jones pretty hard.
Jones only threw one check-down to Gaffney, but the rest were quicker reads than he made in the previous viewing session. Bourne beat J.C. Jackson on a crossing pattern, and Harry was open underneath a zone shell. Zuber beat Joejuan Williams on an out route. Both completions to Meyers were also out routes. The incompletion to Wilkerson was a drop on an intermediate pass in the soft spot of a zone. The incompletion to Stevenson occurred because Deatrich Wise flew into the backfield and disrupted the screen.
Overall, Jones was better Thursday than the previous practice in front of the media.
Josh Uche practices with his hair on fire. He was disruptive once again, although he jumped offsides for the second consecutive practice in front of the media.
Ronnie Perkins had three really disruptive plays as a pass rusher. He stood out in a big way.
Aside from the drop, Bourne has had a terrific stretch of practices. He seems to always be open.
Thanks.And non-Mac Jones stuff:
McLovin if he’s good
Maybe ‘Border Wall’?"Aside from the drop, Bourne has had a terrific stretch of practices. He seems to always be open."
If Cam nicknames him 711, the forum will melt down.
Ok maybe that’s our D.With all of these high completion percentages from pedestrian QBs and receivers always open I'm getting nervous about our defense!
What are the odds of two totally unrelated Maya Lin references on SoSH in three days in the year of our Lord 2021:More like one of those Maya Lin memorials with black slabs with all the tragic nicknames inscribed on it.
