Well just one more day till SUPER BOWL XLVIII. If its snowing in your neck of the woods or just calm before tomorrows storm (and a great game I think), lets watch and enjoy NY Daily news' Cheerleaders then and now.  :buddy:
 
The SF Cheerleader from the NOW timeline is stunning. The Pats cheerleaders from the THEN timeline..Ehh I'll let you guys have a crack at that one  :rolling:

Two things.  Someone in power in Dallas looked at the original shorts (when everyone else was covering their body) and said, "I'm still not crazy about the cheerleader shorts, they nearly cover the belly button and I can't see enough of the girls legs...lets see if we can trim them up a bit"
 
And in fairness to the Pats girls, that was before the league started testing cheerleaders for testosterone, so they get a break.

I was forced to go to women's division 2 basketball game recently since my cousin was playing (third worst sporting event I've ever seen . . . the only things worse are seeing a horse break its leg and a boxer in his 40's trade brain damage for one last payday) and the cheerleaders were actually wearing panties and a sports bra. I'm only 31, have a friend who is a porn star and even I felt dirty.

It was 1994, when everyone was wearing the NFL 75th anniversary throwback uniforms.  The 49ers kept winning with the throwbacks, and ended up wearing them all year, including the Super Bowl.

I know it is tacky, and really not as hot as today's look is.   But since I was in college there at the time.  Atlanta 1989 still very much works for me
