....in fact I don't ever recall seeing anything like it. I've got the MFY vs Twins game on as background noise and Rougned Odor was at the plate. He calls time, the ump grants it and the pitcher, not sure who it was, continues his delivery as we often see is the case in situations such as this. Odor stays in the box and crushes the pitch, depositing it over the 385 mark of the right-center field fence. No one knew WTF was going on, but time was called and granted, no pitch. Odor goes on to strike out on what I think was the next pitch. Not 100% clear on that, as I said the game was just on as background noise. Found a Twitter link from FOX.

They did start Chapman's awful stretch this year with four runs off him in about ten seconds, including booming two run HRs from Cruz and Sano. But not very often.

Do the Twins EVER beat the Yankees? Like...ever?
They rolled over for them every time when they were good. Now when they're terrible, they'll lose every game by at least 5.

“Not very often” is putting it mildly

That's an amazing stat because the Twins have had some very good teams during the past 19 seasons.

By the way, that's a .736 winning percentage by the Yanks over the Twins. That's INSANE for the sport of baseball.

It's definitely happened before. A similar incident is mentioned in an old baseball book, probably the one by former umpire Ron Luciano.

Actually, now that I think about it, I think that old story concerned one of the base umpires calling time as the pitcher delivered the pitch to the plate that was crushed by the batter.

Moving the Line
Remarkably, the Yankees’ current streak of 14 straight series taken since 2007 against the Twins is only tied for 5th most consecutive series taken by the Yankees in franchise history, alongside the pairs of paling 1941-54 White Sox and 1926-39 White Sox.

Who has done less? Number four actually starts with holes in the Red Sox; 1923-1937 with 15 straight series. Then you have the shitstain the Browns put up, losing 18 straight from 1926-1943. After that, there’s the remarkable factor that in Minnesota’s entire franchise history, they’ve been more futile: From 1944 to 1964, as both the vetoed Senators and split Twins, they lost 21 straight series. Last but not certainly not least, the A’s get an F for losing 37(!) straight series from 1932 to 1968.

I can! This wasn’t very cash money of first base umpire Jim McKean

There an early maturing kid playing Pee Wee baseball aginst my kid's team. Kid who was 12 years old and 180lb. Kids were terrified and they bounced one trying to walk him and he hit it out.
