I'm looking for a better option for transpiration from downtown Boston to Gillette on game day.  I have taken the Patriot Train, but I want to get to the stadium earlier in the morning, and there is no way in hell that I am taking my vehicle there.  Is there another reliable option to get to the stadium early for the December 28 game that wouldn't require me to be sober?

The commuter rail into Sharon (Stoughton/Providence line) or into Walpole (Frankline line) don't get in until 11:41am at the earliest.  I assume you want to be there earlier.

There's also the Boston Common Coach, which picks up at Boston Common at 9am.  $50 r/t.

I don't think this affects the Game Train, just daily commuting from that area.

If they add a stop or two in Walpole the problem may go away
I think it does indirectly. If there's no regular route, MBTA will not invest in the upgrade to the rail line, where it now takes forever to go the final few miles.

True.  Line gets upgraded if it becomes a commuter line.

Let's see if they add Walpole stops and make this happen.  It *will* happen, hopefully sooner rather than later.  Those tracks were already in their backyards when the NIMBY's moved in.

Off the beaten track
Bowl Bus is another possibility. They are a little more ($55) than Common Coach, but appear to allow you to imbibe on the rides. If that matters to you, I would suggest you check with the company, however.

I had a buddy with a limo company that used to have shuttles to Pats games in a luxury coach. He had a grill set up for you when you got there, huge TVs and a stripper pole in the vehicle, and encouraged partying along the way. Scrub and I used it a few times, and it was by far my favorite way to get to and from Foxboro. And it didn't hurt that the company was in Lynnfield, and I could get dropped off at my house. I was bummed when he sold the company.

I took bowl bus to the opener, great getting there as you can definitely drink on the bus and they get there early.

Downside was the ride back as the bathroom on the bus was backed up or something so the bus literally smelled like shit for the ride back. Don't know if they have fixed the problem but that has caused me to find an alternate plan for the dolphins game.
