I think I did, but I want to confirm there's nothing else I can do and I haven't done more damage.
So, I was putting together the last pieces of a computer I am building and I try connecting a dvd drive and an ssd. I turn the computer on but as I am checking the Bios, I realize i didn't connect the power cable to neither the dvd drive nor the SSD.
I then stupidly try to do so without turning the machine off.
After I did this, computer wouldn't turn on.
I unplug the machine for 5 minutes, I unplug the drives in question and machine actually does turn on again.
I change the power cables and try connecting the DVD Drive. Computer turns on.
I try connecting the SSD, computer doesn't turn on.
I then take the offending SSD and try connecting to another computer, but that computer won't turn on either.
Does this all mean that I burnt my SSD? Can you really do that? If yes, how come the computers won't turn on?
Most importantly, is there a way to make sure I didn't damage the motherboard or the Power Supply?
Thanks
