The bad news: Augliera allowed 2 singles & a walk in the first inning while recording just one pitch-induced out.
 
The good news: The other two outs were runners cut down trying to steal by Mike Brenly.

Augliera's been solid today, with the only lasting damage from a Tyler LaTorre solo HR. He's gone 6 full with 1 ER on 6 H, 2 BB & 6 K. Meanwhile Richmond's used 5 pitchers already and the Sea Dogs are still batting in the b-6th.

A 2-run HR by Brentz and a 3-run shot by Cecchini gave the PawSox a 5-1 lead, and Ryan Verdugo & Jose Valdez both pitched great.
 
Then Brayan Villareal showed up. After escaping unscathed in the t-8th after a double & HBP, he wasn't so fortunate in the t-9th -- walk, WP, double, walk.
 
In came Heath Hembree with 1 down, and things were looking up for a 5-2 win after he got Jose Pirela looking for out #2. Then a single, a Lavarnway PB, a walk to load the bases, another walk to force in the tying run, and an RBI single giving SWB the 6-5 lead. 
 
Mookie doubles with 2 outs in the bottom half, but Hassan strands him there. An ugly, ugly loss in a game that was well in hand.

A solid-not-dominant game for Stank, but he takes a tough 3-2 loss after 6 IP, 3 ER, 7 H, 0 BB, 6 K. Among the hits were 2 doubles and a triple, and he threw 53 of 78 pitches for strikes.
 
Danny Bethea's 2-run HR, his first of the season, first at Greenville, and 2nd as a pro (he went deep for Lowell last year) accounted for most of the Drive offense. He was also the only Drive hitter not to whiff, as his mates went down on strikes 14 times today, 12 of them swinging.

that was amazing.  Two sliding demonstrations and the removal of clothing - that man clearly knows how to make the most of an ejection.
