No Rangers, no Knicks, the Celtics are playing with their food and listening to Jeff Nelson is beyond tedious. Surprised they make Kay work with him. Would love to hear more Girardi instead. Or really, anyone but Nelson.

Yeah, he is doing way too many games, of course the right amount would be 0. I am going to start a thread at some point just to detail his factual errors, maybe someone from YES will see it. Yesterday he calmly started that it was the first day of Jasson Dominguez's minor league rehab (correct) and that NY had to assign him somewhere after a maximum 30 days (no, 20, 30 is for pitchers). It's not a hard job, please give someone else his games.

I am under the anecdotal impression that almost every Yankee start now, the SP does not use their very best stuff until later in the game, their stuff often seems to get better right up until 90 or 100 pitches.

6 2 0 0 3 2 for Stroman on 91 pitches, most of those runners were early on plus he pitched around a bad leadoff error by Volpe in one inning.
Also I was shocked they got an overrule on that play at 1B with Stroman barely staying on the bag, I was pretty sure he came off by the time he caught it although it was close.

Judge's 4 ABs and the resulting contact:
- 113 mph (467 foot HR)
- 103.6 mph (double to CF)
- 105.4 mph (double to CF)
- 111.5 mph (double to CF)
This is related to nothing, but the fact that Judge as the biggest everyday position player in MLB (i assume) can play a league average CF with his bat is such an advantage. It's kind of easy to take for granted... the large majority of power hitting corner OFs are not really capable of playing CF credibly.
He's not really that fast in MLB terms, apparently 33rd percentile according to statcast, but he's just incredibly solid fundamentally and has good instincts. He's like the opposite of Bernie Williams out there, who constantly outran his mistakes
