Just an amazing statistic. Ironman plus great golf, which is required to continually get into the majors. Truly impressive.
I wonder how many Majors has Tiger missed in that span?
Plus he's nails as a golfer. He's legitimately great.

He’s the 9th ranked player in the world. Just turned pro last summer and has won on Tour and made a Ryder Cup. He’s a super star, not a nobody.
To get a wire to wire final with 4 golfers within a stroke going into the back nine, I don't care who wins. This is gonna be awesome. (Hopefully!)
Scheffler is really dialed in now after a rough start. That double by Morikawa, plus all the missed birdie chances early, are likely to sink him, unless he pulls off an eagle or two on the back.
Now I'm looking at Tiger's majors performance in the 00s. It is insane. Most are either wins or 2nd. 12 major wins total.

well my cash out option on morrikowa dropped from over $500 to under $50 in 20 minutes. Oh well
11, 12, 13, 15, 16 - lots of great holes with big swing opportunities left, but the way Scottie is playing it would be surprising.
It's like looking at Barry Bonds' BR page. Just bold numbers everywhere. In Tiger's case, it's yellow wins, at least on Wiki.

The field has to hope that Scheffler dunks one in Rae's Creek or something. Or two.
I said like 30 minutes ago this is the first Masters where multiple people were in it on the final day. And then all the people except golf perfection Scottie Scheffler fell apart.
Scheffler outdrives most everybody and has the irons and the short game too. Gonna be in most every tournament.
Yeah. When he putts poorly, he's still a top 10 finish guy. When he putts well, he dominates. I don't understand how sometimes, when his footwork is all over the place when he swings, and he's got a hitch in his swing, but hey, it works for him.

It doesn't just work, it's nearly perfection. His ball striking is all time awesome right now, (I believe he's 2nd all time over the past year in strokes gained, Tiger is #1 from the 00s, I think 05) his strokes gained statistics are pretty crazy.
Yeah no doubt. He's incredible. I just don't know HOW, given the oddities in his swing.

Feels a bit like either Scotty makes a big mistake (or gets really unlucky somewhere) or someone needs to string together a bunch of birdies and maybe Eagle 15 (not unheard of but no one looks hot).
He needs Scheffler not to birdie 13. He's only 2 behind but if Scottie gets the bird, then it becomes very tough.
