Love to see him learning the patience at the plate. But want to see him show more in game pop.

    Logan Allen

He tasted A ball. Pretty good for a HS pitcher. 4.1 IP, 6H, 1ER, 2K, 0BB   This kid reminds me of Brian Johnson. He could be better than Johnson due to his age.    Ian Cundall @IanCundall #RedSox LHP Logan Allen sitting 90-92 mph through 3. Solid pitchers frame. CB 74-78 flash depth and tight...

9/5 MiLB Gameday: Anderson Espinoza drives for the first time

How about his curve? Is it inconsistent?

Should the Sox try to build a "superteam" in Salem next April?

Benintendi is way more advanced prospect than any one in the system. I am sure he is ready to play in AA.   But Moncada? I am not so sure. He may stay in Salem for a while or go to Portland directly. Probably he will finish next season in Portland.

    Assorted Sox Rumors

This guy is a prospect. Not a proven super star. If signing number were 60m then the team actually pays 120m(including 100% penalty) to get a prospect. They also should pay him as salary.

    Carlos Asuaje

His swing is really compact and he is good at lifting the ball with his strong wrist. If he improves his strength and pitch recognition skill he should be a very good big leaguer. Big sleeper to me.

Who are your four untouchable prospects?

Mookie 'The freak' Betts is clearly the best by far. Next three are all hitters. Xander Bogaerts, Blake Swihart, and Manuel Margot. Book it. Margot will be a stud prospect soon with his outstanding defense, blazing speed, and quick bat.

For last couple of outing Henry threw 70% for strikes. Very impressive.

ESPN/Keith Law Farm System Ranking - Red Sox 5th

He did bury this system last year. Consensus was that it's top 5~10 then you can't say it was below average. But he did. While I respect him as an evaluator his ranking is too unreasonable.

ESPN/Keith Law Farm System Ranking - Red Sox 5th

Rays drafted really poorly during 2008~2012. They have stocked by trading starting pitchers. This offseason they failed to trade David Price. It was doomed that their farm is falling. One of most overrated farm system.

BA's Top 10 Red Sox Prospects

If Bogaerts should develop into a middle-of-the-order bat, you don't need to worry about another big bat. It isn't difficult to find very good bat at DH, 1B, and LF. Billy Butler could be a good option at DH. There are lots of aging players whose defense is bad but still can hit with power...

BA's Top 10 Red Sox Prospects

.274 .319 .428 .746 Do you know he hit .746 in Texas league? Do you really believe he could replace David Ortiz? I know he has great raw power but his plate discipline is really bad. He is already 23 years old as well. I rather believe Cecchini will learn how to pull...

BA's Top 10 Red Sox Prospects

It's hard to believe that  Vazques will add some pop because he isn't that big and his bat speed is mediocre. He has shortened his swing to improve his contact.

    Manuel Margot

He looks as good as advertised.
