was thinking the same
Jokic was staring at Lebron throughout the entire fast break sequence (at least once near the paint) and Lebron probably noticed it. Lebron knew that as soon as he goes up for the block Jokic would just give it to whoever that was following him. Love it. So many humbling moments this game for Lebron, who probably thinks he is still the smartest player in the league.

6-20 and 1-9 from 3 isn't going to get it done, Russell.
The funny thing about this is that the idiot Nick Wright explained that the Lakers would win the series this time in large part because no way D'Lo would be historically bad again.

LeBron being totally gassed in the fourth quarter in a game he had three full days of rest heading into isn't a great sign for the Lakers.

DEN won the Gordon minutes by 20, basically only reason this was ever in doubt is him getting in early foul trouble

Prime LBJ wouldn't have let Jokic beat him down the court.
Did you see that Joker gave him a little shove when he “accelerated” to the basket. So crafty. There was also the 17 seconds he wasted from 2:27 to 2:10 trying to figure out how to inbound the ball. Love the chicanery (against the Lakers)

This. Dude’s an assassin. Never rushed. Playing at a totally different level. And everyone on that team is ready to receive his insane passes — the very definition of making other players better.
He is really something to watch. He just picks teams apart surgically. His teammates all fit well with him too. Their GM(s) have done a fantastic job building around him including this season.

I didn't even think Denver's crunchtime offense was very good: that was all their D, and their D is what has made them scary in the games against the Cs this year. They are big, mean, physical and in sync.

When your crunch time offense is Jokic you can get away with a lot more. He really does have the ability to just dominate games in every facet for decent stretches.

Agreed on their D. That length is tough.

Aaron Gordon and KCP are real X-factors against the Cs. And, of course, Jokic just bullies Staps. It’s worrisome, but it’s beautiful basketball …. against the Lakers.

Agreed, but rewatch the last 4-5 minutes of this one. Denver had tons of garbage possessions where the clock ran low and not-Jokic had a tough look. Their best offense was coming in transition off of good D.

If the Cs had run that crap late, the freakout would have been intense.

I'll worry about the Celtics matching-up against Denver when we get to those teams in the Finals.

One step at a time, fellas.

Welcome to “The DAR bounce back game!”….that we’ve been waiting for since last year. Kidding aside, he’s been really good this year and for the Lakers to have a chance they need him to have big games.

That Lebron off-balance make gave me flashbacks of Lebron PTSD back when he was in Miami going against our big 4. (Edit : Oops, Miami, not cleveland)

Lakers are going to pay for this D-Russ shooting performance at some point in the series. Hell maybe in this second half.

LAL shooting 57% from 3P and AD is 11-12 and DEN is 26% from 3P. One wpuld think LAL wpuld be up by more than15. Hope they can hold on to this either by continuing their hot shooting or figuring out a way to score whe they start misding.

Wpuld love if this series we t on as long as possible.

It's hard to imagine the Lakers playing any better than they did that half. A reversion to the mean would not be surprising.

Will eat these words, but I thought pre-game 1 the lakers were somewhat live in this series. Even w/ this 15 point lead at halftime, the most likely outcome after 4 games in this series feels like 3-1 Denver.

Will say D-Lo has been good for them on offense most of the regular season, but even when hes hitting he makes a few boneheaded plays per half.

Lakers shooting 45% from 3pt land, Murray with 3/16 and still only a 10 point game.
