In honor of 4/20, something a bit different, we'll be preparing for the 1 PM start with one of Neil's alltime best:

What a killer.

TB sends out Eflin, Soto is 11-25 against him with 2 HRs (although probably most or all of that the pre-TB Eflin). Diaz and Paredes both hammer Nestor, Cody Morris will likely be making his NY debut today (added yesterday).

Good test coming up for @EvilEmpire 's lingering concerns about this team managing to wake up for 1 PM games, this is the first of three straight of those.

1 PM, YES. Go Knicks.

NY needs to stop punting those two bench spots if they’re going to sit guys.

Here’s the lineup for the first Yankee game Sterling called:

April 4, 1989 at the Metrodome

LF Rickey Henderson
2B Steve Sax
DH Tom Brookens
1B Steve Balboni
RF Gary Ward
3B Mike Pagliarulo
C Don Slaught
SS Alvaro Espinoza
CF Roberto Kelly
P Tommy John

DJ should be back soon and that will help. Wonder what the IF playing time rotation will look like if Cabrera keeps hitting. Is he better than DJ at 2nd or 3rd? I'd guess that with Gleyber struggling, the Yankees will want to give him as many chances as possible to get his bat back on track, so DJ starts, Gleyber starts, and maybe Cabrera is used aggressively as the UI , but still playing a lot? Sort of like what DJ's original role was supposed to be? Even if DJ hits, I expect they won't push him too hard with regard to playing time for a little while.

I'd like to see both DJ and Cabrera in the lineup and in the field a lot more than Gleyber.

I’d love to see the Yankees’ hitting stats split between first 6 innings and last 3. Always seem to have such sleepy starts and then turn it on late.

What am I doing inside on such a beautiful day, but Soto and Judge back to back go down and Rizzo gets the equivalent of truped if it were a Red Sox game and thread.
